Yeah, but not before the second wife tries to kill him first, I'd love to see how the first wife will react to that and possibly exerts her power as his consort to protect him, that'd be quite a drama. I want to see some strong husband and wife dynamics even if it's between the prince and his consort.

To illustrate it better, have you ever had a dream where you were aware of it being a dream, and a dream that felt so real you only realized it was just a dream after waking up from it? The first example represents Xiao Qian and the latter represents the actor, essentially it was still them because their consciousness were in the dream, only Xiao Qian was aware of the dream and the actor was not. And the biggest clue is how different the Han Shuo that Xiao Qian fell for compared to the Han Shuo that she had initially written, cruel and unforgiving even to the woman he loved.

Rather than turning into a cliched villain, I prefer to see her showing a cunning side while at the same time supporting her husband, and maybe, just maybe, he'd learn to appreciate her as his wife.

I think she's pretty much typecasted here and her role probably won't deviate much like the one in Ashes of Love, where she devoted herself to the guy till the end even though he was in love with someone else.

It's the drama rule that one never falls for the person who loves them first, unless they're the main leads of course. Also, it's funny to me that the actress played the same type of character in Ashes of Love.

The way I interpreted it is, both Xiao Qian and the actor's consciousness traveled into the dreamverse, Xiao Qian was conscious of her surrounding while the actor was not, so she was an active dreamer while he was a passive dreamer. There's a drama with similar concept called "Sweet Dreams" where only one of them was conscious in the dream. I guess it wasn't explained/explored properly in this drama.

Six episodes in, minor plot holes here and there but it doesn't take away the story. Quite addictive and I'm enjoying the female lead a lot, it's refreshing to see a female lead that doesn't take anyone's crap. Although little sister is a spiteful little thing, I kind of feel for her when everyone just naturally reached out to Li Ge. The romance is shaping up pleasantly too.

I checked out the thread and it's not as bad as my other show, which is controversial for its blackface and cultural appropriation issues. I've watched six episodes and it is quite an addictive show, this one is a keeper.

No, and I don't plan to, it looks a bit dated and I do not enjoy Feng Shao Feng's acting. I've seen him in Ice Fantasy, which I liked, but I think he's a bit stiff of an actor.

Well, hopefully Dae Hyun will find out about the kiss in this week's episodes and finally make a clean break with Yeon Joo.

I have not seen The Princess Weiyoung so I have nothing to compare it to. I am interested in the marriage alliance plot and the married couple fighting corrupt clans hand in hand, hoping to see strong married couple dynamic, I don't think there's much in C-dramas.

I'll try The Eight one of these days, I'm in middle of going through my to watch list. I'm actually thinking of starting The Song of Glory, the trailer MV looks good.

Idk much about that site, I was only there to read C-dramas news, never commented either. They have discussion posts and etc for currently airing dramas but not much comments from the looks of it.

Yeah, they were dangling that incurable poison for 10+ episodes and we were led to think it's going to be tragic but good, and then he survived it without any proper explanation it felt like a slap on the face for all the emotions I invested! I was actually thinking of changing my rating from 8.5 to 9.0 just before the final few episodes, but nope, that final episode changed my mind.

I do watch shows that aren't romance, but it takes a special few to make an impression on me-Signal and Forest of Secrets (k-dramas) to name a few.

Yeon Joo practically said, "please stop working at the convenience store", that was a request to me. Also, the boss and Yeon Joo are childhood friends and it's to be expected that they have a certain familiarity, Saet Byul and Dae Hyun on the other hand, do not, so I was uncomfortable by the level of skinship Saet Byul imposed on Dae Hyun. If the situation was turned and he was being touchy feely with Saet Byul, we'd be crying out sexual harrasment, that in itself is double standard too.
