very average drama but with fresh faces. eg. lee ka ting, yvonne lam, geoffrey wong, kiwi yuen, jessica kan, becky…
Tbh I don't mind seeing Samantha Ko in every drama, at least she can act and delivers a compelling performance. At least I don't have to sit through 30 episodes of drama with someone whose acting is stiff
I just love this show. I really like the character of Hu Ge( Mei Chang Su ). He was the smartest main lead from…
The Advisors Alliance and Wo Xin Chang Dan. MLs in both dramas are smart, but not the same way Mei Chang Su is. They don't plan 20 moves ahead, so don't set your expectations too high. And don't compare.
There's also a kdrama Money Flower which has poor man's modern Mei Chang Su but it focuses more on makjang/melodrama than strategies.
Nirvana in Fire is unique precisely because everything else is "almost" as good but is lacking something, and not many characters are as brilliant as Mei Chang Su

I'm glad you asked! https://kisskh.at/discussions/nirvana-in-fire/50631-group-watch-mdl-ers-from-feed We are currently doing a group watch, where we watch 2 episodes a week and then discuss them on Saturdays. It's an additional motivation to stay on schedule, it's also a place to ask questions and receive prompt answer. Some of us are NiF lovers (such as myself, currently on my 5th rewatch. Another person is on her 10th rewatch), some are new, and some even DROPPED it previously, but are giving it a second chance!
