It's easier to rate stuff when you are knowledgeable about certain culture or speak the language used in show - thanks to it you have more points to take into consideration - for example voice acting/dubbing/proper accent, quality of costumes, you can compare it to source material. Not saying every Chinese viewer cares about stuff like that, but character randomly speaking with Taiwanese accent certainly breaks the immersion (cough, cough, Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, cough cough)

Yupp, we all have different opinions and that's beautiful. You love it, I think it's OKAY, someone else hates it - and we are allowed to post our opinions as long as we talk about drama and not the viewers (ie. people who dislike/like Song of Glory are **)

Qin Hao is one of my favourite actors (especially after his recent The Bad Kids), I also like Li Qin very much so saying that we don't enjoy it because of actors is a blatant lie. I watched 9 eps and it's a 8/10 for me so far - I will, obviously, adjust my rating as I watch but I'm not impressed and I don't see how I can rate it any higher. Even the production quality isn't that great - I spotted two jump cut mistakes in editing, and I'm sure there are more that I missed.

Qin Hao is one of my favourite actors (especially after his recent The Bad Kids), I also like Li Qin very much so saying that we don't enjoy it because of actors is a blatant lie. People have every right to dislike, or even hate, Song of Glory, just like you have right to love it.
As to whether they like sugar daddy stories, I can't speak for all Chinese people.
