I'm not sure if Guy really has feeling for Tew like they showed in the end of episode 4. It looked more like a…
I was wondering this too, but I just saw a teaser scene of the (next?) episode and idk if this show is that clever or deep lol. I love it tho because MeenPing lol so idc.
Because 99.9% of the time a rotting corpse would have more energy, emotion, etc. on camera than Ohm does, either…
I agree with your analysis. Guide has a lot more energy and emotion which is carrying their dynamic at this point. Idk about this pairing tho. I guess we’ll see.
I’ll try to stick with it but it’s not giving me that “I can’t wait to see the next episode” feeling lol.
please can you recommend me some mafia romance BL apart from kinn Porsche
Sure. These aren't everyone's cup of tea and they're not as epic as KP but ones that I've enjoyed include: Unforgotten Night Chains of Heart HIStory3: Trapped Kiseki: Dear to Me My Dear Gangster Oppa (ongoing and much lighter than KP lol)
These aren't directly mafia but have similar darker, edgy elements (aka character who is a bit morally grey): Laws of Attraction (protagonists weren't mafia but one of them is definitely a guy who doesn't play by the rules) Until We Meet Again (not technically mafia but one of the characters has a dad who's a loan shark and is kinda rough) Love Syndrome III (main lead might as well be a thug)
Unredeemable Villains: Love in the Air (has some gangster kinda elements and some pretty dark, unredeemable villains which I love) La Cuisine (also has an unredeemable villain that really goes the distance lol)
I started this and tbh I don't enjoy this genre too much (all steam). I enjoy a soft romance or even one with a bit more edge (mafia romance kinda vibe) with well-done SENSUAL steamy scenes so I'm prolly gonna give this a pass. But I think it'll be great for those who enjoy this style of BL.
It's still got a lot of cringe but I did find myself genuinely laughing in this episode. Jade is still ridiculous but it's a tiny bit more mellow in this ep compared to the last one.
I always look forward to this show every week. Even if it's not perfect, it always has something interesting that happens that keeps me invested and it doesn't help that I adore MeenPing.
This week's episode made me worry about Tew's survival tbh -- like letting Kenji go and planning to lie to his boss about it seems overall like a bad idea given his agreement to the "rules". But I genuinely feel Tew's love and devotion for Guy.
From what I've seen, Tew also knows what he's getting into with Guy (his self-worth and insecurity issues as well as his unrequited love for Wahl) so his decisions seem to be made despite knowing that. I don't feel bad for Tew since he's aware and choosing this path anyway although I think he's too in love to make any other choice at this point lol
Wahl will never stop being who he is – stringing Guy along but Guy just lets him because he's so desperate to have his feelings returned by Wahl, he'll take the carrot-on-the-string treatment his so-called best friend gives him.
The biggest issue is Guy's lack of self-worth; if he can start to overcome that, he'll be able to make the best decision at this point which is to let go of Wahl as a love interest and see the truth of that situation.
It’s cute, I liked the actors (they’re lovely to look at and they did a good job) but it was kinda boring for me. Still a nice, easy series to enjoy if you’re in the right mood.
The cringe hurts tbh. I miss Jade from Naughty Babe. He’s so over the top in this but thinks he’s so cool and clever lol. 🤦♀️ I’m trying to keep an open mind though and see if Jade calms down a bit lol.
No shade against the actors, it seems like this is just what they’ve been given and are doing their best to portray it well. Tutor and Yim do have great chemistry together imo.
Very cute. I think I'll have to rewatch all the episodes in 1-2 sittings because while I loved the sweetness of the last episode, it felt very fast-paced compared to the rest of the series. I almost felt like I missed something because the build up compared to the last ep felt so drastic.
Overall it was a very light plot and I think the main actors had pretty good chemistry together (not amazing but pretty good and perhaps with more series together that can get stronger).
I would say most Taiwanese BLs are very well done even if it's a weaker plot (or throw you off a cliff -- I'm giving you the side eye HIStory3: MODC), it feels like the crew and production and actors genuinely do their best (and definitely WANT to do their best) and want the audience to enjoy it. It's very genuine in my opinion.
