People gave it low ratings at the beginning because of how it started. They dropped it after a few episodes and…
I'm starting to think it's a case of "bad publicity is better than no publicity at all". That's the only reason I can think of for the recent slew of awful endings. More people tend to talk about a drama that has a bad ending. In reading comments and someone asks if it's a HE - "yes". When reading reviews you read, "happy, though rushed, ending". Yet, when the ending is bad, there are TONS of comments about how bad the ending was. That being said, I appreciate it, because then I can avoid those dramas.
I wish Netflix wouldn't try to "westernize" the shows. Personally, I started watching K-dramas because they were more clean, wholesome, and left something to the imagination. And, when, exactly, did smoking come back into favor? Yuck!
this is old but if you remember, can I ask who the last couple you mentioned was?
Chinese dramas aren't usually my go to - too long, too dubbed. That being said, I looked at my list and realized I've watched quite a few C-dramas! If you want to know my favorites, I'd have to say Hidden Love, Dating in the Kitchen, and My Little Happiness. I loved the relationship in You Are My Glory - but I practically wore out my FF button skipping over the gaming and space flight stuff. I really liked the first half of Love Me If You Dare, but it went downhill when they added the American actors. Others that I have enjoyed: Emperor or Boss; Love Can't Be Said; Better a Lie Than a Truth; Destined to Meet You; Mysterious Love; Reset. I'm currently watching Exclusive Fairytale and am, strangely, really liking it. Typical high school stuff but the two have known each other forever. I'm only halfway through it, so it may take a nosedive, who knows?
