I hope WJ & HJ find out about HW’s lost baby in the next episode and we get to find out how HJ’s brother killed his friend, there aren’t many episodes left.
I really think the director didn’t do a great job portraying HW & WJ relationship before HJ appeared like it was in the book. In the book WJ actually loved HW in the beginning and HJ felt jelous since she was stuck in a loveless marriage. It explains why HW said “you had everything but WJ” to HJ, WJ was always a possession and a boy toy for HJ. He wouldn’t have abdonded him penniless in a foreign country after taking his passport and drugging him if she truly loved him. He was just a warm body and entertainment for her, HJ only loves herself.
I found it so hilarious when HJ said my husband wouldn’t like someone as lowly and pathetic as you to HW like she has fully forgotten her roots, if he liked you he obviously has low standards lol. HJ is so obvious with how differently she treats the powerless and the powerful throughout her life, she is projecting her own insecurities into others. I really think she was jelous of HW and how she was positive and warm despite her background and worked hard to pursue her passions and was satisfied with her life despite not having the riches and status that HJ had and thought would bring her happiness. HJ toke everything away from HW out of jelousy and sheer bitterness. Im rooting for her downfall.
We been knew WJ & HJ are despicable. It seems impossible but I was really rooting for HW and HJ’s brother. HJ got HW fired yet watch her have the nerve say “you’re obsessed with me for no reason!!!!!” next episode like the self-righteous spineless pathetic woman she is.
Unironically I really liked the house they lived in. The architecture and the interior were beautiful, I recognized they even had park seungmo’s artworks!
It was enjoyable enough for me to watch but the last game was really predictable and the last episode was corny. The acting was amazing and I love how fleshed out and complex all the characters were. The plot fell flat for me but the characters saved this drama for me. The games were too simple for me, the marble game was the only one that was memorable. The VIPs were so cringy I had to skip whenever they showed up.
The acting was great and I found the the philosophical messages the writer tried to portray about religion, media, society etc interesting but it really fell flat. It’s way more enjoyable to read things like hellbound as a webtoon than to watch it as a drama since what’s entertaining as a webtoon is not always as entertaining when turned into live action. Hellbound had a nice idea but it failed miserably in execution. It was a mess from directing to story telling, the CGI was ridiculous.
HW was pregnant with WJ’s child and had a miscarriage, it was hinted several times in recent episodes and she…
It has been hinted multiple times like when she told her mom she can’t give birth or out live her. The doctor also talked about how HW’s illness is severe to WJ and that she’s in pain every night. WJ became tolerant to his medication and the pills HW gave him are so he can fall asleep before HW’s symptoms start showing in the night. HW was afraid WJ would see her in pain during the night and run away again. The doctor told WJ about HW’s state, he understood why she gave him the sleeping pills and continued to take them since HW wishes to not be seen struggling in pain every night.
HW was pregnant with WJ’s child and had a miscarriage, it was hinted several times in recent episodes and she…
HW being pregnant would be huge omg but for some reason I think it was just her being sick because she talked like she can’t have children to her mother
Are they going to show any memories of HW and WJ. It had to been some going on to make her wait this long for…
HW was pregnant with WJ’s child and had a miscarriage, it was hinted several times in recent episodes and she is likely unable to get pregnant again. It’s also comfirmed that she’s sick and it was hinted that she most likely doesn’t have much time left to live. The reason she took it so hard was because she was repeating her childhood trauma, pregnant at young age while the father ghosted her just like what happened to her mother. Finding out the man who ghosted her when she was pregnant with his child was gone to have an affair with her married bestfriend whom he impregnated and toke care of her baby instead… The people who she trusted and loved the most didn’t even respect her enough to cut ties with her properly nor apologize to her or even acknowledge the pain and harm they have caused her in HJ’s case. HW is severely traumatised and physically sick yet in her eyes the people who sucked the life and hope out of her are living fine with no regrets about what they have done to her. It’s understandable that she wants them to suffer the way she does considering her mental state, obviously it’s not a healthy response but it’s very realistic. She has no support system, the only people she trusted and loved betrayed and violated her, she’s most likely dying and has nothing to lose anymore, seeking revenge makes alot of sense to her.
why do yall think hosu was so comfortable with HW? especially since he's not so comfortable with strangers...…
Everyone around hosu just gives him everything he asks for and doesn’t really communicate with him beneath that. If you remember the tonkatsu scene HW explained why he should finish his food since a pig died to be put onto his plate, he actually ends up eating despite not liking the taste. If it was the MIL or HJ they would’ve just ordered something else for him. HW actually has conversations with him, thats why he talked about the fairytales he likes as well. The reason Lisa & Hosu act spoiled is poor parenting, they are capable of growth and development
HJ is such a pathetic despicable character. She wags her tail to those who she considers above her like her MIL and shows her true rotten roots to those who she considers below her like HW & even lisa’s friend. She quietly smiles when the MIL disrespects her parents and humiliates her publicly yet has no fear nor shame trying to blame HW for the trauma she and her actions has caused. This drama wouldn’t literally have a plot if she had treated HW with dignity and respect for once in her life by sincerely apologizing. Would HJ dare to treat HW the way she does in the past and present if HW was rich and connected? No. She doesn’t mind stepping all over HW because she is poor and “powerless” in HJ’s eyes, she never expected someone as “easy and weak” like HW to actually bite back.
The cold female character tag is intriguing me but I don’t like jang kiyoung’s acting, is this worth watching regardless? Has Song hyekyo’s acting improved? She’s such a beautiful woman but the characters she takes are so similar her acting feels the same in every project i’ve seen.
Finding out this is a webtoon adoption makes so much sense. It’s better to enjoy this show as a fun fictional drama about a mad scientist instead of actually trying to find scientifical and psychological logic behind the plot. The directing is beautiful and the concept is fresh for a kdrama. I wonder how they are planning to fit the webtoon into 6 episodes though they should’ve at least made this into 10-12 episodes to not rush the plot too much
The ending was open, personally I didn’t feel like she felt anything romantically for CYH but CYH seemed to…

Thank you for your comment I enjoyed reading your analysis <3 I watched eugene’s actor’s ig live and he said that he thinks eugene would go back to korea to meet HJ even if he gets arrested and has to serve time. It was so obvious she started warming up to him after he got shot, even her cousin noticed when she said “are you fine? You keep putting up emotional walls for that person” & CYH noticed it too! I feel like CYH liked her as well and some of his suddenly rised hatred towards eugene was rooted from jelousy lol. It was cute how out of all economy reporters in korea eugene choose to give an interview to HJ’s cousin and even called her before the interview to probably tell her that he’s with her cousin lmao he’s so soft to HJ. HJ confirmed her feelings towards him when she said “you’re a person who can get as warm as you want so don’t hide in the dark anymore Han Yujinssi” she even called him with a korean name han yujin instead of eugene han sealing their relationship. Also I have to mention I love HJ’s character, so intelligent and honest.
Honestly this episode answers so many questions for me. The reason HW can’t just let go and live but is choosing…
I do find people trying to make WJ out to be pure innocent victim ridiculous, even going as far as claiming that they were never in a relationship to paint HW as some crazy woman with no reasoning for her actions. Had the actor not been hot none of them would’ve defended him this much and stripped him from his responsibilities the way they do know. The funniest part is beside being a hot artist he has nothing else going on for him, he is pretty boring and bland.
Honestly this episode answers so many questions for me. The reason HW can’t just let go and live but is choosing to take revenge is because she doesn’t have much time left to live. The reason she was so traumatised by WJ ghosting her was because she was pregnant. She was obviously already traumatised by her childhood, young mother who birthed her with no husband and father who abdonded her before she was even born. Remember that this is korea, there is huge stigma against single mothers and their children. When she finally trusted and thought she has found 2 people to love (WJ & HJ) they both betrayed and abonded her. WJ ghosting her when she was pregnant with his child was probably a huge deal for her, it was repeating her childhood trauma and even worse since she lost her child and most likely can’t convince anymore. She was probably in denial at first that WJ abonded her and then as years passed she started despising him. When she found out he left because he had an affair with HJ around the time she was getting sick she probably decided to take revenge. She is severely traumatised and it can be seen in her actions, downloading that app on his phone, drugging him so he won’t see her in pain and leave again during the night. Her revenge plan is hurting her as well since seeing WJ long after HJ is triggering for her but she is definitely not doing this because she is some pathetic spineless woman begging for WJ’s love. She is well aware he doesn’t love her and only had a wedding so once HJ & WJ have a relationship again it will be labelled as “dirty affair” as HW said it. It will ruin both of them this time and they will suffer as HW wanted. Do I support HW’s actions? No. Do I understand why she’s going this far? Yes. She has no support system, no hope, not much time to life and she’s traumatised. Does taking a revenge against those who traumatised her change anything for her? Probably no. Just as HW said if they had told her in the beginning and apologized she would’ve just left him go and moved on but they didn’t, neither of them respected her in the past and future enough to take responsibility and accountability for their actions and apologize to her. From HW’s point of view, the only people she trusted and loved screwed her over and she’s the only one who’s suffering because of it. She has nothing to lose anymore since she’s dying so she might as well bring them down with her. She wants them to experience the hell she lived through but it’s hurting her as well. I really enjoy the way all characters are written as multidimensional and morally gray, it’s very realistic. I find the viewers reactions fascinating as well because most seem to have wanted a black and white bad vs evil story but life is far from black and white.
you're telling me we found out in one episode that haewon has major health problems and might not live for long…
I had the same thought! I think she was pregnant and lost her baby because of the trauma caused by WJ ghosting her. In previous episode I remember her looking disappointed/sad when WJ said they are not planning for kids. It’s messed up but I think that might be the reason she hit lisa?
