She doesn’t hold the authority to punish sinners, she is not god and she herself is a sinner. During the entire show SSR is portrayed as a very smart woman, it literally makes no sense she didn’t notice the twins were abused when they were limping and wearing clothes to cover their bruises. The fact that they were angry at SSR alone shouldve been an enough reason to find out what’s wrong with them, that’s what good parenting is. If she hadn’t neglected them in the first place they wouldn’t have become bullies to begin with. The writer lacks nuance and the viewers just go with it.

By SRR logic if OYH can be forgiven because she was kind to MSL once then CSJ should be forgiven as well for hiring her when she was broke. SSR is very self righteous, I wouldn’t mind this at all if the writer didn’t portray her as an angel who doesn’t do wrong. She neglected the twins, they were limping from abuse and she didn’t care enough to find out why. She then again turned a blind eye to CSJ being abused by JDT and no, CSJ not being the perfect victim doesn’t mean that she isn’t a victim of domestic abuse. “Parents sometimes should do evil things to protect their children” but it doesn’t apply to CSJ? It’s actually ridiculous that she hates CSJ so much yet is so forgiving towards the woman who murdered her daughter. I do like SSR but her hypocrisy is downplayed, the writer should stop portraying her as an innocent lamb who never did anything wrong.

Im curious about JDT past, it was revealed that he started as a construction worker and that his mom died in a property under construction? SSR family is rich because of a construction company and JDT has trauma about blood? Maybe jdt’s mother died because of SSR’s family’s company and he saw her bleed to death and decided to take revenge against SSR family? It would explain his sociopathic nature

I don’t actually understand the people who believe CSJ deserves extermination for letting her father who abused and emotionally neglected her all her life to die. The same people who believe CSJ should die because she made people suffer suddenly have a problem with her father who did the same things to CSJ dying? Are you wishing for victims to see the people who abused them to die or not? Is it suddenly unacceptable for the victims to take revenge because the victim was CSJ? Yet you want the same to happen to CSJ? Believing life is about good guys vs bad guys really lacks nuance. The victims can do harm to others just like CSJ and SSR. If were to call for extermination of everyone who has caused harm to someone in their life the entire human population would end. Good vs bad is simply not rooted in reality.

I love choen seojin and the only reason I keep watching this show is for kim soyeon’s amazing portrayal of choen seojin. There are so many women irl who are going through soul breaking domestic abuse and not all of them are “perfect victims”. I don’t really understand how you can see a woman being beaten and not feel bad for her. I felt bad for every character in this drama whenever they were being abused, that’s just human sympathy. I believe we as a society are obsessed with punishment and this drama is portrays it perfectly, the viewers go along with it and are rooting for punishment of “the bad guys” yet humans are multifaceted and sometimes the viewers don’t even see their own hypocrisy. I believe in transformative justice and hope that the writer is planning a redemption arc for CSJ. More than anything im so impressed by Kim soyeon it must’ve been so emotionally exhausting to film these scenes yet she never slacks off. Every mini expression is done masterfully.

Thank you. So many users on MDL completely ignore mental health of the characters and act like children are not capable of redemption

I think JDT killed BRN, we now know that he tries to kill people when he sees blood. He probably saw bloody BRN and killed her, that’s why he’s trying his best to put all blame on HEB. Im convinced JDT is an actual sociopath tbh

I love cheon seojin! With all her complexity and chaos she’s my favorite villain. I actually have a feeling the writer might give her some sort of redemption arc soon, she has actually done so many things she would’ve never done in S1 during these last 2-3 episodes. She’s so charming and likeable to me thanks to Kim soyeon, an amazing actress.

Back in season 1 when “SSR” got killed Shim Su Ryeon was seen wearing large gold earrings while running towards Hera Palace. Her earrings were still visible when she entered the elevator. But when she entered the Penthouse apartment on the 100th floor of Hera Palace, the earrings were not visible. Likewise, when she was killed, she was not seen wearing earrings. I think she went to see NAG and told her about the twins and NAG ran to them and died instead. NAG pretended like she doesn’t have an emotional bound to the twins but if you caught it she paused and looked teary eyed for a second after saying that. She did care for them, that’s why she died running to save the twins too. I think it’s SSR pretending to be NAG.
