Finally someone who has put everything I wanted to say about Thai BLs in general (and this show) into words. It's crazy how Thai BLs continue being so popular despite the lack of quality in the scripts. Throughout the years, I've seen Thai BLs improve in terms of audio quality, cinematography, video editing, etc, but when it comes to scripwriting, they are as terrible if not worse than before. But despite that, so many people overlook all the flaws and praise these shows for the bare minimum. It makes me so upset seeing so many Thai BLs waste all the potential their plots have because of the lack of effort into writing a coherent story. And the worse is that a lot of times they try to compensate the lack of logic in their dramas with tons of NC scenes so that the fans pay more attention to that instead of using their brains to notice all the blatant errors.
When I read the synopsis of Jack & Jocker, I was so excited because the story sounded very interesting, but as soon as I finished the first episode I knew it would be like any other Thai BL. And as you mentioned, Thai BLs are like a toxic ex I keep giving opportunities to only to end up disappointed for the exact same reasons. I rarely watch Thai BLs now, and if I do, I spend a lot of time choosing which might be worth giving a try. Unfortunately, 99% of the time, it seems a 5-year old wrote them. Sigh... I can literally count on one hand all the Thai BLs I've liked since I started watching BL dramas (It has been about 7 years since then).
I honestly was expecting the story to be more serious so yeah, I am disappointed. And since I truly don't like Thai humor, it will be nearly impossible for me to ever enjoy this drama. I'll give it 1-2 more episodes before deciding to drop it š®āšØ

FR!!! All the Thai BLs I've seen this year have been BAD. I feel each year the quality of their scripts decreases and it's so disappointing because a lot of them have very interesting plots/concepts but their executions are terrible. And even when they have the most simple stories, they somehow manage to ruin them š®āšØ
