Omg y’all, I knew it! I knew it! I was wondering why he literally didn’t get the hint when she asked him to get a noble title. Like he can’t be that dense. Girlie all but asked him to marry her with her cute puppy eyes. Finally! Seems like he got the hint, but she is the princess after all. He even got beaten when he went to look for her despite her being grounded. Idk how anyone can watch this drama and think these 2 aren’t perfect for each other. I haven’t seen another better well matched couple in a while.

What exactly are you blabbering on about? Didn’t DW trend just few days ago for his good acting? This drama was NEVER advertised as a serious drama. From the trailers alone, it was very obvious it would be a mix of comedy, action and mystery. I know this for sure cos when I first checked out the trailer when it was released 6 months ago, I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch it cos of the comedic tone. But I changed my mind out of boredom and gave it a chance and I got hooked. Go and check the trailers out yourself.
I understand the slapstick comedy genre it started with was not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s fine. But the comedy settled in later with the mystery and action parts, and now it’s arguably one of the best parts of the drama.
In my opinion, the hate train this drama got has nothing to do with comedy genre. It’s the norm for lots of cdramas to start slow or take a while to pick up pace. Instead, there were just lots of controversies before it released, like DW’s rap that caused fandoms to start speculating who he was suppposedly dissing, then his accent was the sore point for some. It just created an unfortunate hate train. But this drama is objectively not bad by any means, and it’s a good thing it’s still really successful regardless of that.
There are so many cdramas that are released at the same time. Even now, there are so many traffic dramas airing. If you don’t like one that is airing, that’s okay. Clearly from the comments, you can see so many people are enjoying this one, just move on to the next one. It’s not that big of a deal.

She does, but it’s so complicated. Her mother grounded her in the palace, so she can’t go to the lake villa where it’s easier for Xu Qian to see her. To make matters worse, her father is trying to kill her man. So it’s not like Xu Qian can go to the palace to look for her, especially since he now knows he has the national fortune inside of him, and the Emperor suspects the same too, meaning his life is in grave danger in the palace.
That’s why I love how straightforward and carefree Lin An’s personality is. She doesn’t care about keeping up appearances as the princess. Since she loves him, she just tries to take care of him. If she wasn’t like that, it would take ages before he would have the balls to make a move.
I can’t wait for episode 34, I was wondering why she would chase after his ship like that, and now, I understand her desperation. Poor baby.

Yea, I clearly remember that scene. But I was also worried that when Lord Wei finds out, he would get upset cos regardless of motive, Xu Qian is hiding something from him. Good thing, Xu Qian knows how to cajole lord Wei to get him to forgive him..lol. They have a father - son like relationship.
Fuck.. the Emperor killed 2 birds with one stone. He gave Xu Qian the Viscount title, making him a noble, thereby qualifying him to be the lead investigator leading the tri ministries official to investigate the alleged massacre at Chuzhou., and he has to leave within 7 days. What’s tricky is that those Tianyu prophets warned him not to leave Dafeng, cos the hooded man in black is after him. Poor Xu Qian can’t catch a break.
