currently in ep 25 and im going back and forth on watching bc i don't want to say goodbye yet 😭 reading the…
Don’t think about it, just watch. Their mortal arc is really good, infact it should have lasted much longer than it did. The drama also ended happily for cdrama standards.
Can we talk for a second about Arthur Chen in the modern world. He is so darn good looking. I always felt that most cdrama actors look better in historical dramas compared to modern dramas cos the long wigs, makeup and costume adds to their looks. Arthur Chen is one of the few that look equally great in both historical and modern dramas, and to top it off, he’s such a good actor and that voice too. I’m really looking forward to his future works.
So SJ remembers her too right? My guy was smiling when he saw her cry and say that she knows him. Yeah he’s…
Yes he definitely did. The way his face softened and that smile, He ONLY ever smiles like that at Tingyan. He had no reason to smile at a random employee if he didn’t recognise her.
I teared up when it ended..I’m not ready to let go😭. The drama definitely had a happy ending. He recognized her (that knowing smile he gave her at the end is a tell tale sign), and my girl Zou Yan looked so happy to see him. Besides, he kept telling her that he will recognize her no matter what world she is in. If the mortal arc is any indication, they will get together quickly again in the modern world.
Of course it would be amazing if we could have episodes showing them dating, getting married in the modern world and having like 4 kids, but well, I guess the writers wanted us to use our imagination. I’ll keep coming back to this drama, that’s for sure. What a journey!
I’m still stuck at the beginning of the demon arc, finding it hard to continue due to the villain brainwashing…
The demon arc is angsty but it also had so many sweet moments. Don’t worry about the brainwashing, it basically didn’t work, the FL is smart and she still retained her ideals, so she figured things out for herself.
The mortal arc really slaps. Gosh, I wish they shortened the demon arc and spent more time in the mortal arc. I enjoy seeing TY have a taste of her own medicine now that SJ doesn’t remember her. But she is handling it sweetly and he is already falling for her.
Not Emperor SJ trying to scare TY with stories of how scary he is, meanwhile my girl is smiling happily and calling him adorable. She has seen him as the scary grandmaster, as the emperor, he is just like a baby.
Ok i know the ending cannot be helped but i still didnt like it.. I mean it was a really good journey with some…
I haven’t seen the end of this drama yet but I expected this sort of ending so I’m okay with it. Shen Li is not a transmigration drama, just pure xianxia. Problem with transmigration from the future dramas is that they always have to go back to the modern world because of censorship. So far they met and recognized each other, it’s fine. Some special episodes of them in the modern world would be really great though.
🚨Spoiler Alert! [EP 33 preview] The modern world, one minute and 36 seconds.https://x.com/apphimbo/status/1962365669346836766?t=u1AxtLSLiFERBWVYZ2LTYw&s=19
why they throwing lost memories and years later plot at me again? That 19 years gap is older than my whole lifetime…
lol..I feel you although It’s not technically seen as “lost memory” in the mortal realm. As a rule in xianxia dramas, if an immortal is reborn as a human, they generally don’t have memories of their life as an immortal…like in ashes of love, 10 miles of peach blossom etc .
Besides, the separation years are relatively short in this drama, I’m actually grateful for it. Most dramas, we are talking hundreds or thousands of years. In LBFAD, it was 500 years or so iirc. 19 years is nothing in comparison.
just my two cents.. as from the start, I’ve seen people say the visuals are bad.. the clothes, hairstyles, all…
It’s not a mega budget drama with crazy promotion, so the sets, costumes and CGI are fine to me tbh. I’ve seen Cdramas with more lavish costumes that couldn’t hold my attention, also the CGI is on par with regular xianxia Cdramas. Besides, this is a character driven drama, and the leads have really impressed me, so I’m satisfied. Hopefully, the drama wraps up well, so it goes to the top of my rewatch list.
where is day ones at lol 😆 I want to see many comment on comment. To see who is ready for finale tonight. It…
I got to know about this drama 3 days before it aired, and got hooked right from the first episode! It has been such an awesome journey following the drama. So sad to see it ending 😭
I think hypothetically one could skip from Grain Rain Vale when it's sweet and lovely, straight to end of ep 28…
To be fair, he liked teasing her for her laziness and lack of ambition. I remember when that whole “hopeless romantic” dialogue happened, and he told her that the reason why she and her clan have low cultivation is because they are always thinking about romance.. lmao. So I guess him telling her, that she made something out of her self is also in line with teasing her and also partly out of surprise, particularly because she used to be so against getting more powerful. But he appreciates her regardless of whether she is a salted fish or not.
As for her continually trying to stab him and what not, xianxia Cdramas always have to include angst, it’s inevitable atp so I was expecting it. I think she was just trying to fight her nature. She is ice and he is fire, she is a fresh demon queen with the demon lord’s core and he is the celestial grandmaster, there is a lot of conflict of interest. I guess it’s understandable within the drama context, that she will have to fight to get used to her new powers especially around him.
