Majority of the acting is good because of the experienced and veteran actors but I personally think the male lead's needs work. It can be distracting because his facial expressions is just ridiculous in certain situations cause he doesn't move a muscle. It's so bad that I don't see any chemistry with him and Hanyan. Hanyan has better chemistry with her assassin friend, Chai Jing than the male lead. People say that's his character because he's suppose to be stoic, I call it terrible acting. 🤣

The wife was poison and died a year after their wedding. Within that one year, they had Lingzhi, you could see the baby during the chaos.

Their death had no witnesses so no one knows. Hanyan did not announce it yet, she's planning her revenge before making that announcement and finally writing her mother's name on the tombstone.

For me, she convinced me as an amazing actress when she played both villain and protagonist roles. She proved she can adapt and display a variety of emotions. Well deserved spotlight she has right now. :)
