is there a significance of the "chicken soup" in WYF life or its just the flavor and the thoughtfulness of SY…
This was mentioned in ep 10. Her aunt made chicken soup for Yifan's cousin but he didn't want it and asked Yifan to drink it. But her aunt said Yifan was not worthy of it, she embarrassed her for "flirting' with men. But Yifan didn't do anything and got in trouble for hanging out with Sang Yan. They skipped class that morning because she had to go to the hospital for her dad or day before and the teachers thought they were in a relationship. High school love is not tolerated in China, because students need to focus on their college entrance exams. So this particular scenario was mentioned by Yifan and how it effected her.
Chicken soup is usually for people who don't feel well, it's also an act of care and love. Sang Yan gave it to Yifan because he realize she was having a hard time, and wanted to show he cares and (loves) her. Yifan obviously felt grateful, and touched by his actions because she realize that there is someone who is willing to give her chicken soup, basically care about her.
Why does Netflix only have 10 episode lined up so far? Will there be more released because I thought this was…
Because there's only 10 episodes aired in China? It may be broadcasting on Netflix, but it's not abiding by Netflix's broadcasting schedules. Chinese dramas only get at least 2 episodes per day.
Oh my god, I love ep 10, Yifan is opening up, Sang Yan lied about the kissing but after his research, he realize she's going through hardships so he bought her chicken soup. And finally said he bought it for her instead of his usual excuses. T............T
LOL Sang Yan's prankster side came out in ep 10 when he lied about Yifan kissing him while she was sleepwalking and then she got all flustered. He continued to tease her about it lmao. BROO AHAHAHA It cracked me up cause Bai Jing Ting's facial expressions was giving devil emote. xD
I really like the ending where they show more of Sang Yan's POV and how he feels. Although this isn't new to C-dramas, but I've always appreciate this.
This is my second drama of Zhang Ruo Nan. She is really well suited for the sad characters. She actually suffered…
Exactly! She's not always going to be the way she is currently. If the directors does things right, we will see a more happy, and confident WYF as the story progresses. :)
What is with you people judging a drama so early on? It's completely illogical and unreasonable to say something…
Firstly, it's not whining, it's calling out your immature judgement. Secondly, do you seriously think you're sane to compare six episodes of a drama to a entire, completed drama? Because I think you're a little psychotic. Thirdly, it's clear you're just complaining and whining about this drama because you love Hidden Love(must be a possesive fan) and just want to hate on this drama. *roll eyes* Grow up, little baby troll.
Dear people who are complaining based off of 6 episodes, I'd suggest you to go watch kdramas if you think you can based the ENTIRE drama off of six episodes. If not, learn to use your brain and dissect why the FL is like that! She has TRAUMA, and FAMILY ISSUES! Who wouldn't be more reserved and not reach out when people have failed her her entire life?! If you think she's not a good actress, then you've clearly haven't seen enough Asian dramas in your life. This is my first drama of Zhang Ruo Nan and personally I think she's doing a great job portraying a reserved, skittish, and awkward female lead. It's very natural! As for Bai Jing TIng, his SUBTLE facial expressions says a LOT! I can list PLENTY of stoic actors who can't act subtly, and Bai Jing Ting is NOT one of them!
So stop complaining about this drama with only six episodes out at the time of this comment. AND ENJOY WITH AN OPEN MIND and maybe some logic! Kbye xoxo
Same old same old....The ML is putting all the efforts and the FL is as usual a clueless, indecisive character..…
What is with you people judging a drama so early on? It's completely illogical and unreasonable to say something negative with only 6 episodes out. It doesn't make sense to judge the drama based on SIX episodes! if you want a fast paste drama, go watch kdramas instead. Stop whining!
Yes he's following the novel version of Sang Yan. Sang Yan in the novel is very stoic and serious. Victor Ma's…
I see! That explains a lot. The way he delivers his lines as more expression than his facial expression so I was wondering if this was the novel's ver of Sang Yan. I also loved Victor Ma's portrayal but it's nice to see Bai Jing Ting's ver of it as well.
Is Bai Jing Ting following the novel ver of Sang Yan? I only watched Hidden Love which is where Sang Yan was more more expressive even though he's serious. Here he looks - too strict, serious, antisocial. Even interacting with Sang Zhi felt forced and unnatural.
Seems like this is happening at the same time as SZ x JX's story. but weren't the brother in college when SZ was in HS? 🤨🤨🤨 or am I getting the timeliness incorrect?
