I cannot pinpoint why i love this drama so much thus far. It seems the writing contributes a lot, the lines the characters say just tugs at my heartstrings. I'm already rooting for the leads to win their revenge and have a happily ever after!

I don't blame you, he was hot back in his early days (still hawt though.) The duck face, however, has to go! LOL

Don't want to be that person but it's Jian Jian; I literally had to double check because I don't remember a Jin Jin in the original. lol

For those who watched the chinese original, do all the parents just come back all at once too or did they show…
Chinese version had more episodes compared to the remake here hence the parents coming back were more spread out.

It's because it's not a wuxia genre.
Hictorical dramas like this one typically has a few martial arts here and there. It's not the main focus of the drama, the focus is the revenge plot, and schemes similar to those of palace dramas but more thrill! However, the martial arts in this one is more prominent because of the FL's background training of the arts. Wuxia focuses on a hero's cultivation and martial arts growth, this drama has none of that. As a fellow lover of Wuxia, if you want to broaden your horizon, I'd definitely recommend it. :}

Guys, it's literally the first 3 episodes. THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE IN LOVE YET!! Your expectations are too high! She obviously hates him because of the massacre and he, due to unfair treatment and schemes, is hateful of the world.

Title Kill Me Love Me Spoiler
It seems like Baron is playing the villain. :( It's also good because it could showcase his acting skills.

I'm glad you liked his acting! :] He's one of my favorite actors since Fated to Love You aired. ^^ It's just sad that he doesn't get much main roles.

Just finished the 2 episodes. Honestly speaking, it wasn't bad, I quite enjoyed it! They kept a lot of the important parts that was in the original. Since this is a kdrama, I had to keep reminding myself it's only 16 episodes hence the fast pace scenes compared to the cdrama. Both have their pros and cons, being at a slower pace allows the audience to feel and understand the characters on a deeper level. With the 16 episodes, it feels very fast paced and I didn't have time to register the feelings the mother was going through compare to the original. The acting is very good thus far, needless to say I will definitely continue tuning in!

Personally, I wear my own clothes after any surgical procedure. Of course, only the underwear and pajama pants under the hospital gown. But the cast members wearing a shirt is definitely unrealistic, there's no heart monitoring them especially Yu Qing with the risk of high HR spikes. We can definitely conclude this is a low budget drama, but what matters is the characters themselves. :)
