Looking forward to watching this! It really gives me "being young and having great friends who just want to have fun and fall in love along the way while figuring out life" vibes. So relevant to my current life phase rn haha.

Hmm I'm sure this could easily get a Netflix deal particularly as it has proven to be popular for both local and…
Not necessarily. As long as there are requests, it is pretty easy for Netflix to acquire a drama. There are already dramas on Netflix that have mixed reviews so it wouldn't be a problem for the network who owns this drama to ink a deal with Netflix.

They shouldn't have deleted all those scenes esp Yeon hugging little rang and Yeon and Jiah's child...I totally…
International viewers have done really well though in understanding the drama so it's only a matter of promotion of Korean folklore outside Korea that needs a bit more work.

Look, discounting those who are obviously fans of Rang/Kim Bum, why I was harsh on this drama was because of the…
"For entertainment" is a poor excuse to validate the drama's weak storytelling. Even the best "for entertainment" dramas have a story to tell.

Again, I know that this drama is well-loved, you need not convince me about it.

i agree with you but why is it wrong for them to be selfish? like they are not angels. i interpreted that for…
I agree with you. When you consider reciprocity and ask whether the main leads would also make that sacrifice in order to support two lovers with parallel stories of their own love, or even sacrifice their own happiness to ensure everyone's happiness, then yes, they weren't selfish. But just because people's lives were valued a lot less than a mountain god, doesn't mean they were any less important. Which is why you couldn't support their love because it wasn't, at least, in my eyes, pure enough to warrant support.

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
How can one reincarnate into an grown up body and have the previous life's memories? I don't get it.
There was supposed to be a family picnic scene with Ji Ah and Yeon's kid that was cut. I assume that that's when Yeon would've met reincarnated Rang. Hopefully the director is able to do a live FAQ to answer some lingering questions.

I dont understand why everybody is so harsh on this drama :) yes, i absolutely agree that there were many plot…
Look, discounting those who are obviously fans of Rang/Kim Bum, why I was harsh on this drama was because of the lacklustre storytelling. No more. No less. I was expecting the ending to make sense irregardless of the obvious deductions that general viewers are expected to make.

To me, I felt cheated by the ending and the conclusions that were concluded simply did not make sense when you look at the drama AS A WHOLE. Sure, there are blogs that extrapolated from the ending to make it make sense for them BUT as a viewer it's a cheap explanation to just say, "it's an open ending, make it make sense for you however you will and however you feel, depending on your own understanding of fantasy land and the elements we've set for you". Basically, what I wanted as a viewer was RESPECT in terms of understanding the storyline. I'm not a hater, but I honestly couldn't turn my brain off just to accept the drama's faults and this become more apparent when the ending failed basic storytelling expectations.

Exactly! Was there a post-conference or live or some last episode FAQ about it? I would really love to read the director's explanations for why he did what he did.

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
Is it just me that thinks the leads are selfish letting innocent people die just for them to be together. I agree…
Totes agree. I think if they also put forward the deaths of innocent lives over their own love story arc, that it would have made me feel sympathetic for their plight. But it seemed too selfish to me, as if they were readily able (whether directly or indirectly) to sacrifice other people just so they can be together. They didn't seem to care about collateral deaths and had they spoken more about their guilt about other people being sacrificed/dying because of them, Rang's death would feel a lot more authentic and justified instead of just hiding under the guise of "sacrificial redemption" just because of his previous deeds.
