We see in the latest episode that Soo Hoo, the little boy knows how to apply disinfectant because he used to do…
Yeah exactly! I also think it's because the dog was a gift from Yeon, his brother whom he adored so the present meant a lot more. And with Yuri, Rang probably saw a bit of himself in her. One Twitter user pointed out between the running after parallels in both the forest scene where Rang runs after Yeon, and in how Yuri runs towards Rang after being told not to follow him.

Taluipa is the Granny? If yes, yeah, of all characters she is my least favorable. She is all powerful (as per…
I think she's just bound by the arbitrary laws of the gods/higher beings. Just like Greek myths, there doesn't seem to be clear rules on how and why those connected to the deities can interfere. And you're right, she wouldn't dare suggest to Yeon to kill his lover.

Nice theories! The only part that couldn't convince me was the Taluipa. I don' think she is an Imoogi in the past.…
Thanks, credit to the Tumblr user! Yeah you're right that she's a celestial being and the theory is that unlike the failed snake Imoogis that, Taluipa has actually ascended and has achieved the ultimate form being that of a dragon, which ultimately means that she is a celestial being.

It would actually be interesting to see exactly what powers Taluipa has aside from turning people into stone. With regards to her not telling Yeon, I think it's more so an issue of being forbidden to help out to an extent where she has an indirect hand into the fates that she sees, so maybe it's an issue of law enforcement. It's a bit arbitrary tho as there doesn't seem to be clear rules of what and how she can help.

Wow!! Interesting. Thks for sharing. I like the tailupa character And not the FL unfortunately. Lol
No worries lol! I wished I understood more Korean folklore, which is the only downside of this series being available to international viewers is that it's a bit hard to understand.

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
Updated theory from a Tumblr source:
1. Taluipa is an Imoogi who has turned into a dragon. In one conversation, it is mentioned that Taluipa can turn someone into stone (Medusa parallel?)

2. The other Imoogi is one that took over Bok Gil's body upon his suicide and was able to use Bok Gil's powers (eg.mind manipulation, bringing back someone from the dead.), and who we in this story is now Terry. This Imoogi then split itself into two to find another powerful host and that Imoogi is the version inside Ji Ah. Also according to this theory, Imoogis on their own have no powers and are able to take on the powers of its host.

3. The elements of waking up the Imoogi: water, bodies of living people, blood of a sacrifice, power close to divinity woke up the Imoogi in Ji Ah indefinitely.

4. "Once Imoogi #2 got ahold of Bok Gil’s body, it sought to get another powerful body for its buddy, Imoogi #3. However, things didn’t go according to their plans when they failed to get Lee Yeon’s body because Ah Eum had sacrificed herself.

Imoogis on their own don’t have powerful abilities with the exception of Taluipa who probably is now a celestial dragon. Basically, Imoogi #2 and Imoogi #3 were complete failures at becoming a celestial dragon so they decided to wreck havoc on Earth and gain more powerful abilities from the bodies of celestial beings. "

So what if Terry is Bokpil? And Imoogi that lies within Jiah is his ex-wife?That would be mind blowing
Okay this source on Tumblr has updated their Imoogi theory. Long story short, there are no two Imoogis but two heads split - one in Terry, and the other in Ji Ah. I know very little about Korean folklore and as an international viewer, I hope the show releases a book compilation or something about this. I actually think they should have done this leading up to the launch of the drama as promotion as this would have helped cement the base knowledge needed to understand the fantasy elements of the drama.

The puppy kiddo is really cute and cool. Loving it/him..
Yes so cute, but I couldn't help notice that he grew up quite quickly since the first ep!

She definitely has the power to but if it involves killing Ji Ah first before the Imoogi, she might as well not have a relationship with Yeon, whom she sees as her son. In any case, for shows like these, it's really the restrictive rules of fantasy land/gods/higher beings that ruin everyone else's lives hahaha.

I seriously want to slap that Taluipa bitch!Even though she knows such valuable information about the imoogi she's…
We see in the latest episode that Soo Hoo, the little boy knows how to apply disinfectant because he used to do it for his mum who was being beaten by her partner, his stepdad. So in that sense, he has healing abilities at least in knowing how to apply medications, but it would be beautiful if Rang's dog's reincarnation is able to also heal him in his present life by magic.

I am a huge fan of LDW and never watched anything from JBA but I gotta say she is impressing me in this drama.…
Yes, I loved the Ah Eum fighting scene. Bo Ah's duality there really impressed me and it proved against criticisms of her so called "flat acting". LDW does have naturally funny faces lol. I also found that scene hilarious because he looked like he was going to make a joke after but then it was serious scene.

Lee dong wook is flawless in portraying the character (as he always is,acting skill is Just superb)... Jo bo ah…
I think they work well and much better in the last few episodes than perhaps episodes 1-4. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Bo Ah has flat acting compared to others criticising her for that. What impacts the chemistry is the writing in that the reasons for the two of them being in love in the present time bounced off their past history without giving the characters adequate time to bond. In short the romance happened too quickly.

I also think that with these types of dramas, or I'm not sure whether it's just the Korean flavour but that they do blend the comedy with the other styles (romance, fantasy, horror), so while it looks like the character has regressed or become immature/childish, it really is just for comic relief. My guess is that's probably why when LDW does those comic bits that it lessens the chemistry because the romance is not so serious.

To be fair, their chemistry has developed since the initial episodes and the bts definitely shows that they are comfortable with each other.

well old lady only ways is to either yeon, imoogi or ji ah to die and the other way is for Imoogi to leave voluntarily…
I wonder how they'll do that though. It's not as if it'll just leave unless it's offered a vessel?

It's like a farewell skinship scene I think but damn LDK is hot hot hot. How is he 39???
Yeah I like both pairings and I'm currently liking LDK and Bo Ah. Their BTS for the last few weeks have been oozing with chemistry (regardless of the criticisms lol).

So like Harry Potter, Ji-Ah has to die to kill the Imoogi part of her??? I wonder how the writers are going to pull off a resolution that won't make the reincarnation and the second replay of the past useless. Will the fox bead return? Can't wait for two weeks!

I agree to everything...just a side note CoffeeBay sponsors this drama so obviously the add ons :)
Yeah, I mean I have watched a few Cdramas/Taiwanese dramas over the years but haven't really kept in the loop since life and growing up. I am back to rediscovering the beauty of Asian dramas though and after watching Kdramas this quarantine, I definitely cannot do eps with more than 30/50 or even 100 eps! Haha.

Thanks, I've heard of that show before. I might have to check it out. Kang Joon is a feast on the eyes!

-Bok Gil was the Granny's (Taluipa) son that committed suicide .- Shin Ju is a sweetheart and i really like how…
I definitely think that BG is the Imoogi or became the Imoogi. To me it's just weird that Taluipa and co keeps mentioning him, twice now, first in the death anniv, and second now. So I'm thinking that he's much more important than just a side story for character development.

Side note on butler. What a power greedy dude? He said he just wanted food to feed his family but why would you sell them out just for power? I don't get it.

Hahaha CoffeeBay looks great. I'll have to visit post Corona hahaha.
