I haven’t read the novel, but I’ve watched the drama... n 8eps in, nothing implies reincarnation... so IMO I think that part they’ll not use in the drama... plus the reincarnation/time travel kinda plot is banned nowadays for Chinese drama as far as i know...

Haha I get what u mean... I watched “A Female Student...” too... I thought it was gonna be all fluffy n fun romance like mostly Zhao Lusi dramas, but yeah, halfway thru that drama lost almost all the fluffiness... especially coz of the super annoying SML that somehow turned from BFF to a psycho who prefers her to die rather than someone else having her...

I guess to be safe u have to wait till it’s finished before u watch, or at least halfway thru, usually u could tell by that time if it’s gonna be palace politics heavy or not... n even if it is, just do what I do, keep watching n skip the angst! Hehe...

I usually prefer to not watch the ongoing drama, but currently I have no drama to watch and I like them both, so I started watching, no regret so far...

I like it so far, they have some cute moments, but since they r not together yet, there weren’t that many... the chemistry is believable enough to make me wanna keep watching... plus ML is looking good... FL too, just a bit too much make up here n there...

From what I saw in the trailers and based on the summary I read about the novel, supposed once they get married, they’ll stay together till the end... there will be problems since ML will be stationed somewhere n they will be living apart again n again, but nothing that implies major misunderstanding or breakup...

That problems will come from that Miaorong girl from ML side n still The Majesty n that SML from FL side...

But u never know I guess... Chinese series like having drama to the max, especially the misunderstanding kinda plot, so we’ll have to see if they’ll overuse it... usually when that happens, I’ll stop temporarily n pick it up again when it’s finished airing... so far I’m still watching this...

This drama cast is a combination between TBARP and Legend of Two Sisters in The Chaos actors... I’m not saying all, but like lots! I wonder if they r mostly in the same agency n in a package deal...

I know right! She keeps betrothing FL from a guy to another... i know she means well, but it’s a bit annoying that she doesn’t even investigate it first about who FL actually likes...
N yes from the trailer, looks like that Miarong will be the villain inside the Li family... i hope there will be more good times rather than the misunderstanding parts... I hate when they do too much of that... like what they did in TBARP, misunderstanding after misunderstanding till the end...

8 eps in and the answer is a no... they like each other, but noone confesses yet... it’s kinda understandable from ML’s side, she is a princess after all, plus she is betrothed to someone in that last eps... but from the trailer i’ve watched for the next 9-12th eps, looks like they’ll be together n even get married after overcoming some major obstacles first...

I really liked the drama... I was just hoping that it ends with a grand wedding, or a small wedding in the north would be ok too... it’s just that JiuLing almost married LYQ, faked married ChengYu and was kinda NYZ’s fiance on paper... so I was expecting a real wedding of her with ZZ in the end as a closure of all the complicated relationships she has ever been involved with.. but at least it ended with them together in the north and ZZ proposing, so it is a happy ending...

Sidenote: ugliest hairdo for ZZ in that last extra scene of him proposing, he looks so bad! I don’t know how it could happen though... don’t they need approval even for the look? Whoever approved that must have the worst taste!

They r officially together in eps 31, after JiuLing confessed to ZZ that she is the Princess JiuLing... n there is no unnecessary breakup till the end... but even before that it was obvious they liked each other n helped each other in lots of situations...

Nevermind... I finally join the 7days trial free for viki app, so I’ve watched it there.... unfortunately even till now it hasn’t been subbed 100%... hopefully tomorrow?

Exactly! I was waiting for that scene... I actually thought I missed it n even replayed the ending a few times n even checked until the end of the credit title, but nope, that scene is nowhere to be found... I wonder why? Will it be in a special eps? I want that scene!

The 37th&38th eps are out n subbed, so by tomorrow i hope the last 2eps will be on air too...

Exactly! That LYQ guy is just a creep! Having that side woman calling his name over and over again because her voice sounds like FL... that’s a just a psycho act... I have no idea how people can feel bad for him after watching that scene... that’s not love, that’s obsession, the unhealthy kind.... especially since it’s a one sided thing...

Plus that childhood scene, I don’t think they bullied him... he did something wrong and ML with his friends were punishing him in a way... yeah it’s not a justification for what they did to him, it’s still wrong I guess, but like u said that one scene couldn’t possibly make it ok for him to have a twisted mind while playing a victim card n act pitiful... he is def not a victim!

I know right! The fasttrack option cancellation is just making us have to wait much longer than usual... Been trying to distract myself by watching other dramas, but nothing really interests me lately...

I heard it’s the government ‘s rule, so I guess nothing they can do about it... as far as I know by the supposedly last air date, the last 4eps should be on 10th&11th in RAW, so tomorrow and the next day... hopefully they’ll be subbed fast... at least by the trailer on YT, it should be a happy ending...

I know it’s gonna be a happy ending by reading people’s comments here... But for the last 4eps I just hope they don’t put unnecessary drama and angst, not enough time... I hate when that happens n we only get the happy part only in-the last scene!

Yeah, longer waiting period for sure... i’ve never been a fan of following on going drama, but i do make exceptions once in a while like this drama... but from now on, i think mostly i’ll wait for the future dramas to finish then binge watch it...

I wonder why they stop track option... is it another new rule there?
