I haven’t seen anyone mention of fl’s makeup that’s bad. If there are antis starting things up I think people are aware it’s paid marketing accounts. Sadly Cdrama world is like this. Funny how experience suddenly only counts when it benefits you. I’ve seen all the dramas you listed too. I liked some and I didn’t like some, but I don’t assume that makes everyone else’s taste “not that good.” Disliking something doesn’t make you discerning. It just means it didn’t work for you.

But, then the writer had to switch it up that it was xy's friend that killed human hy's dad. ugh, ok fine my anger kinda subsided a tiny bit.

I’ve read a few times that people initially saw all these bad trends of TUS so they didn’t watch. But their friends recommended so they watched and then they were hooked and cried and laughed all the way and binged watch. The producers ton company was bankrupt so no one cared and no money to promote. So the numbers/stats and viewership are natural and true. We also reached 1billion views!

I prefer Wang Duo, but I find him more charasmatic and charming in period vs modern. As for Steven Zhang, he is talented for sure. But, other than GA, I can't get in to his other dramas. No hate, I just find him to be greasy sometimes.

Idk about intl fans, but I see a lot of viewers in China rewatching the drama 2nd and even 3rd time. This drama has great rewatch value. Anyways, a person suggested to start from ep 33, then go back to the very beginning. Then the ending will be ep 32, which is the wedding. It will work "chronically" where it starts with HY being sealed and awakened. Hahaha, i found that amusing, I might try that.

Then you should definitely check out tsy’s next drama, My Destiny. Set in the 80s to present time of a girl making it in Shenzhen. I originally wasn’t too excited for it since I prefer her in period (so I’m definitely going to watch Against the Current). But, now I’m really looking forward to My Destiny. The author is an elderly man and he seems to be highly respected in his work since twice he appeared on cctv conference to talk about the drama.

It just means the drama wasn’t meant for you. This show has a lot of details and needs to be watched carefully. Each arc follows a pattern and carries a message. Some people don’t want to think too deeply—they just want something to rewind and watch on autopilot.

For wanganyu drama it’s going to air in cctv. The director of xy and wang appeared together at cctv conference. It’s an automobile drama with ml centric plot. There’s no fl at all in the novel. So ss fans joked if she was going to play an uncle. It’s not that worth mentioning since she’s just going to guest as cameo in favour for the director. Same like what zly did.
