I started watching ai dramas and short dramas today, and it's not hitting anymore. I can't get in to them anymore, it's just plain brainrot. I'm hoping the actress, tsy, will join another esemble cast. I heard there's a chance for one. I honestly can only watch her dramas since she doesn't do idol dramas anymore, I can trust her judgemet that her period dramas aren't idol ones.

her demeanor changed a lot after she was forced to marry, compared to when she was a free person/commoner. There's two parts where she may have went in to depression and tried to get out. First time, when she was still a teen, just after the Shen's passing away she was in Xu family's old home in Lin's servant housing, Ep 2. She wouldn't come out of the home. The other time was when she received the decree to marry and she stuck herself inside her home. I think both times she was in depression.

Someone said she's obsessed with "survival" bc that's the only motivation for her to keep living. Not in the sense we all thought, but for her to just wake up, get out of bed, engage with others. Normal stuff avg folks do automatically and innately, she prob had to muster the energy to. Hence, why that talismen her mom left her was so important. It's a reminder for her to be in the presense and live even though she wants to go back in her mind. Sometimes, I feel like she's holding on a thread, purely bc of this obsession to live well that is keeping her going. It's only little by little that she learned there's other enjoyments to live for. She realized that once her living conditions became better during her commoner days. She got to sing opera, write/translate scripts,

When others say lx is too calm when others are crying their eyes out. But she cried until she had no tears left during her Shen family tragedy and also during the forced marriage. Nothing can beat losing her whole family in front of her in one night. She's already numbed inside, no death can really compare bc she's already had to worst kind imagineable.

LX gives off that "alive but a little dead inside" vibe. If she was super bubbly, all "I love you's" to LJQ, it doesn't make sense with here she came from her past.

Yes! In the first half, when she entered Lin manor she had hopes to buy her and her family's servitude contracts. So there's hope in her, but once she's married in to ml with royal decree all hope was lost, so in the abyss of depress she went

That speaks a lot to me, speculating she has a good chance of depression. She seemed like she was healing those two years as a free person, and then when she was forced to marry LJQ, she kinda went back in her shell, and really her depression showed when she kind of dissociated herself sometimes to other people or situations when she arrived at the capital in Shen Manor. It caused complicated and complex feelings she didn't know how or where to express, her going back to her original home-her beginnings- yet not as herself but under as xlx definitely caused more harm than not. We can see her eyes did lit up and she was very happy when she imagined it was her cousin come running towards her. Once she realized it was ljq's niece, the light in her eyes dimmed, and she dissociated herself again.

Have any of yall notice LX has Depression!? Might have persistent depressive disorder. It's not horrid where she can't do anything, but enough to make her being slightly distant and in her head from time to time. I have two eps left so I will leave my final thoughts after.

As you watch further in the drama, you WILL realize Han scholar is not meant for lx. It's important for lx that her ideology, thoughts etc align with each other.

I agree ljq didn't seem to respect her on an equal basis bc he never asked for her parents' hand in marriage. She knows this and she did confront him about it. He also later on realized this and apologized. Definitely continue on and let us know your final thoughts on their relationship!

I've read a post that some see fl having symptoms of depression, which really makes sense when people say she's cold or lacking the reciprocal emotion to ml. I have two eps left so I will have a look at the end.

I'm still enjoying the little details this drama has been consistent with. I noticed Du Biatch sits in a very manly way with her legs spread. A behaviour she picked up during her time in the sea. I do wonder how she became a pirate leader, it must've been tough for a girl to rule over these men. I do notice she has this lacky that does her bidding and labour work. I think she uses her beauty and body over him, he's obsessed with her.
