I think there's just more intl fans for Ding and Steven vs William and Joseph. However, I enjoy Mystic Nine2 immensely. I just got creeped out on ep 1 and then near ep 3 I had to stop bc I was getting spooked. I LOVE this feeling, and I haven't had this feeling of thrill and suspense since Ultimate Note saga. No offence but the Archives was heavily marketed as bromance and the leads trying to act cool. Showing their cool shots, and I felt like the director was focusing more on that than any other thing.

My Destiny did quite well, and currently is no1 first half of the year on cctv8. If you are talking about explosive, then it's quite hard, given that there's hurdles that prevent it. Antis, and competitors pay to rig the numbers or sometimes buy negative trends or hashtags to prevent her dramas from exploding. She doesn't have a large fanbase, most are passerbys and passerbys typically just watch her dramas but participate in data collecting or w/e that boosts heat. If we look just at cvb, she's the winner, but if we look at noise and publicity then she lags behind.

She doesn't have a company to back her up and give her resources. Every script, endorsement and lead role she has comes from her and her manager. Her goal is longevity in the acting industry, not a traffic star.

I'm hoping Against the Current will do well. I've been waiting a year for that drama. Either way, in this economy, the popular actors/actresses now have a hard time receiving good projects, some haven't filmed in months.

I really Like the actors/actresses using their own voice. The breathing, tone and expression is done so well with perfect emotion.
