I fell in love with LYN as Hao Du in The Long Ballad, and he's never taken another decent role since, imho. I like him dead serious, he keeps playing unserious roles.

What is the EXACT moment that he becomes self aware that he is totally in love with her. Like, when does he first admit it to himself and recognize it for what it is. Because I'm gonna rewatch, and I want to look for that moment.

The ones that annoy me are FL roles like that one Yu Ning was in what was it called... Wonderland of Love, where she just makes fun of him the whole time, treats him like crap, and he's just the idiot foil to her "strong woman" schtick. I don't like it when a show thinks they have to belittle the man to empower the woman. That's usually my main gripe.

YES SO MUCH THIS everybody has GREAT HAIR. Why is it so hard to find someone who won't try to do something weird and stupid with somebody's hair?!?! But it's like almost every drama has one or more people with bad hair. This one - no bad hair in sight. And I deeply appreciate that.

I have an aversion to "strong woman" FL's. But I find it really easy to watch when this FL does it, she retains her demure/vulnerable/cute. Even when he's laid up in bed, and she's making the money and the decisions, she treats him like a man, and never disrespects him or tries to one-up him. I love her character for this.

Worth it. This is the kind of show that makes everybody on the c-drama planet stop what they're doing and hold their breath til it's over. I can barely function between eps.

I was kind of liking LYF, but I had to bail really early on, because I FELL HARD for the white haired snakey guy, and he wasn't gonna get her, so i wasn't gonna watch his train wreck unfold.

I've been putting myself to bed early, and waking up to new eps in the morning. But tonight is my friday, and I can stay up late and partayyy. I got my fried chicken. I got my strawberry shortcake. My tasty beverage. Got my lounging togs on. My electric blanket is cozied up. And i go to kiss to browse things to watch while I'm waiting for our eps to drop.

And I'll be danged. There is suddenly nothing to watch. Anybody wanna catch up on G2G while they wait? Yeah lolll NO. Watch Arthur Chen in a 1970's NO. Or Yu Ning in an ensemble romcom NO.

YOu guys ling he is the hottest man i've ever seen --- when he's devious, dangerous, pissed off, annoyed, secretive, deadly. When he has pale skin and blood red lips and long hair. I cannot get it out of my mind. FINALLY he took another role like the SOKP role. Ling He honey, I don't need you to have range, I know you can act you don't have to prove anything. Just have long hair and do that thing where you get hella mad. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT gahhhhhhhhhh.

FINALLY A REAL DRAMA

I watch stuff I don't like all the time. MDL is for discussion about dramas, it's not a fan page. So I don't like being bullied for having a differing opinion than the popular take, and talking about it (lookin at you ABAY fans). I think people should be able to do that without being eaten alive for it.

THAT HAVING BEEN SAID. You'd HAVE to be a troll to throw a bunch of shade at this drama at this stage. I saw a one star review? Give me a break. As if this is worse than a crappy short length? I don't think so. That's not honest criticism, that's just cope and seethe.

This thing is gonna pan out to be somewhere in the 8-10 range, no matter which way you slice it.
