ML starts off as a badass psycho killer with a heart of gold, he's mysterious and charismatic. Then they take him to the void, where he is charming and brave, but no longer badass or mysterious. Then Simu shuts him down SO HARD that it utterly destroys their building chemistry Then ML -- rejected -- goes back to human world, where he tries to move on, and at the same time is stripped of his army and status as general, and new characters and stories we don't understand are introduced.... and between these three changes in plot, the story loses ALL it's momentum.
Simu comes back, and tries to be all happy and cute and playful, but I don't even like her anymore because of the way she treated him so harshly.
They need to fix this, or the whole story is gonna slide off down the hill.

She's not a c-drama watcher, but I told her this story was good and then ep 26 happened and made me look like an idiot for saying this show was the shit. it needs to pick up. everything that happened in ep 26 could have been easily condensed into 15 min and wouldn'tve bored us to death. grrr

wdbtd had it's merits, and I enjoyed it in a lot of ways, but there were some aspects of the original story that they really botched and it left me with a final impression that was kinda disappointing. Fairly good, though.
But I greatly disliked both Evernight and L&P. The FL's in those were terrible. FL in wdbtd was really well cast, I thought. But LBTG just takes the cake, this is the best acting i've ever seen from either Arthur or Dilraba both.

Without it, you have to find other ways to relieve your boredom, so they riot because at least it's something to DO.

Im into red flag ML romances mainly. But I'll watch anything that's actually really GOOD. But it has to be romance. So, do you have anything Brazilian you can recc me to watch, like a good place to start getting into them.
I did a Turkish drama thing last year because another MDL buddy just begged me to like "you'll love them i swear" and I watched like 6 turkish dramas and could not continue. One, there is usually an ML beard/moustache problem for me. Namely, I hate them. And they happen in Turkish dramas with great frequency. Two, and more importantly. EVERY FREAKIN TIME the ML has a monogamy challenge. He either is in a relationship when he meets the FL, or cheats on the FL and then grovels, or SOMEthin. And I tried to tolerate it, but discovered that nothing turns me off in an ML quite like that does lol.

tysm my goal is generally to accurately describe the experience of watching a drama without giving anything away for people who like to go into their shows blind. I knocked points off on the rewatch factor because it ramped down in the last quarter of the drama and got dumb and just basically switched gears (ironically exactly the same way S&L did) and idk.... my rewatches tend to be for ones that the ending makes you want to stand up with your power fists to the sky and go "YAAASSSS". Whereas this one has an ending that makes you fold your arms and go "oh." So I knocked a point off.
