Thats a subjective take on a story that objectively had different ideas about who her otp was. You skipped around. How can you make an objective judgement call on what the author intended when you didnt fully watch it with your attention 100% engaged. If you read a book i wrote, told me i got it wrong, and then it turned out you didnt even read it all and skimmed huge chunks, how could i take you seriously when you claim to know what its REALLY about.

Youre seeing what you want to see in it because you think 2ml is hotter, and missed parts of the actual story due to 2ml syndrome frustration. He IS a very handsome actor, and if this were a green flag love story, the author would have ended it differently. Im sorry you had a bad time with it. :(

Us red flag lovers have precious few dramas coming out lately that were written with us in mind except short length pieces of crap. So for us this was a real treat to watch, and we can see the attraction between ml and fl like lava spewing from a volcano. But a green flag lover is going to be like 'justwhy'. Just be glad your subconscious psyche is healthy and well adjusted enough that you dont even understand the attraction of red flag love. Its not a bad thing that you shipped 2ml, except that it means watching this was a waste of time for you, and that sucks.

But i mean you didnt even watch the whole thing attentively enough to understand the dynamics of different situations towards the end, yet you want to say the story meant this and not that. The original author would beg to differ im sure. Its your take on it, and its creative, but its also subjective.

Ill give it a whirl, why not.

This is a drama that doesnt hold up to skip-watching or 2x watching, and youre running into exactly why this is a slow, patient, full-immersion watch. Its NOT a good drama for people who arent willing or able to exert a massive amount of patience. Ive tried my best to warn people about that. Also lots of people who think WXY is hawt walked away from this unsatisfied because they couldnt stop shipping him all the way up to the end. Green flag lovers also tend to hate this one and get dissappointed.

We try to warn potential watchers that this is a slowwwwwww burn, red flag romance, but some people just jump in anyways and it doesnt turn out well. You waste your time, and end up dropping the rating after being dissappointed by it, and none of us who love this drama want to see that, its just unfortunate.

It was on HER birthday. It was a party that ZW himself arranged for her. She said she didnt like celebrating her birthday, but did anyway only when she found out that ZW arranged it for her.

She was occupying herself with others because thats what she thought would make XW happy. If she had stayed to take care of him, shed be snubbing everything he did to give her a party. Plus, he had told her VERY clearly, to stay the fuck away from him when it snows and he gets sick, ever since he nearly stabbed her during an episode of snow madness. He doesnt want her to care for him in that state, and she knows it.

Quite simply, he sends her off to go have fun with other guys without him, and then feels insane jealousy over it. Is it rational, no. But this IS a real thing that some guys do sometimes, my man used to do it too. And id be making nice with other guys because my man insisted on it, then he got super upset over it, and i thought it was hot and adorable.

I get this feeling based on your takes that you did some skipping around while watching and missed some stuff here or there.

You keep saying she 'realized she couldnr have zz'... but yes she could have him, and eventually GOT him. What makes you say she couldnt have him? Her father certainly would have approved, and in fact tried to set them up together. There were no impediments to that possibility.

What if she mistakes guilt with love. In her first life, she fucks over a lot of people, but he is so honest and guileless that when she fucks him over it makes her feel guilty like if you were to fuck over a little kid. And if you just replaced ZZ with an innocent 5 year old in the first timeline, her actions would have been the same. She would have traded her life for the kids life.

Then you get to the second life. She still feels that huge guilt. Her heart goes out to him. The way it would to a sweet kid. She admires his innocence or.... doesnt she call it "purity"? Thats a kind of love, but not the man-woman sexy kind. The woman isnt supposed to look at her man and go "yeah hes so much cleaner than me, wow i feel dirty next to him."

I felt like there was no chemistry between him and FL in The Double either. Maybe if a different casting choice had been made for 2ML there would have been some chemistry. Like what if Luo Yun Xi had been cast as Zhang Zhe..... i bet there would have been chemistry there ;P

The original novel was written from its outset with XW as endgame. The screen adaptation was also written from its outset to follow the novel, and XW is endgame. The producer, screenwriters, directors and actors all went into the project knowing this. Everything was created and designed with XW as her OTP. There is no conscious effort on the part of anyone involved with the story to lead the audience into thinking she missed out on her true love in her second-chance incarnation and she was meant for ZZ.

Its one of two things, either the kind of love you go for (green flag) is different than the kind of love the author goes for (red flag)...... or you think WXY is hotter than LH. Either way, there was no ambiguity on the part of the author, producer, writers, director, or actors about who she was meant to ideally end up with. Its only that you would have written it differently than the original author, or that you would have cast the drama differently as far as the actors.

In ep 36 right before she confronts ZZ and turns him down, she remembers the princess telling ther to be strong and be herself, and her resolve visibly strengthens. Then she tells him pretty clearly that shes moved on from him, and loves XW. Is the audience supposed to believe that her turning him down was her ultimate act of weakness and that she wasted her second incarnation by missing her OTP yet again? It could be another alternate version of this story, sure. But the show itself gives no clues at ALL that this is an underlying theme in the story. That means you just projected that idea in from your own mind, its not actually in the story. Shes not still in love with ZZ and just settling for XW. Its just that if YOU were the FL, thats what it would be for you. And thats kew.

Maybe you dropped before you got the chance to see it, but she COULD have had the 2ML, and she shut him down. She actually directly chose the ML when 2ML finally tossed his hat in the ring and made a direct pass at her. Its episode 36 from 25:00 to 32:00 when they have the conv where she turns him down.

In this scene, when ZZ first approaches her, hes clearly making googoo eyes at her, and she breaks eye contact with him. In her mind, she remembers the princess telling her to be strong and be herself, and you can see her harden herself towards ZZ to try to discourage him from making a pass at her. But he does anyway. When he does, she says theyve both changed (meaning she has changed), and he asks her if shes already chosen XW, to which she says yes. If she was really in love with ZZ by that point, she could have started something with him right then and there and ditched XW. If you watch the scene, you can see it for yourself how she makes a clear conscious choice, at that point able to have either of them if she wants.

No. Many viewers have started this because they think WXY is hot, but you wont get any satisfaction on that level whatsoever. He has no kiss scenes, no flirting with anyone, and his character is softspoken, dispassionate and not charismatic. In this story, FL has an unrequited crush on him which she eventually drops. He is going to be alone through the entire story.

Im exact opposite in my tastes, but i still go through the same things sometimes, i had to drop Love You Forever because even though i knew going in that the 3ML possessive demon bloodsucker ice king trauma-bonder wasnt going to get the girl, i fell so hard for him i had to just stop watching. To save myself the agony of shipping the wrong ML.

Doesnt the green-flag guy get the girl in LYF? Or does no one get the girl? I forgot how people say it ends. Maybe its a season 1 of 2.... icr.

A good green flag romance is Fake it Till You Make It. Dunno if youve seen that yet....

No. Hes one of a kind, thats why theres like a dozen of us who watched this when it came out and still come to this page all the time, because we have 3rd degree xie wei burns that will never heal. We all have an understanding that if one of us finds something even sort of like SoKP we tell eachother about it here. But so far the only thing that comes close is Till the End Of The Moon, possibly Love Like The Galaxy. You can try The Double, The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, Enslaved by Love, ADream of Splendor, or Koi to Dangan, but none of them will work to fill the hole this drama leaves in your brain. At best they may temporarily distract you from it.

Usually a drama as a whole wont be kilig, but have some kilig moments in it. Iirc, ones i thought had more kilig than usual in them.... Playing House and My Fated Boy. Devil Beside You is pretty dated at this point but i think it had quite a bit of kilig.

She says it at one point that she feels like she cant fully trust her feelings for him. I dont know if youve ever had a scary run in with a man like while dating, but if you can try to imagine taking back a man who once threatened to kill you because he said hes changed..... i never would. Its a scary thought. In this lifetime he never killed her, but because of an episide of snow madness, he DOES come damn close to stabbing her. Thats in THIS life. Shes struggling with fear and trust issues, but she doesnt flat out run from him. Why. Because shes as attracted to him as she is afraid of him.

Dont think of it as her LIKING him from the outset. Think of her as being ATTRACTED to him. She doesnt like him outright because her low self esteem wont even let her entertain the possibility of him being interested in her. She considers him completely out of her league. So why would she like him consciously. That would be super presumptuous. But if ALL she felt towards him was fear, she would never keep coming back for more and making cute-pouty-face at him. The way she acts toward him isnt the way a woman acts when shes afraid and repelled by a man.

No, she will not end up with him. This drama is for red flag/possessive ML lovers. There will be forced kisses and throat grabbing (not much, but enough to turn off green flag lovers). ML is petty, jealous, controlling, addicted to painkillers, and goes kind of insane and bloodlusty when it snows. So if that sounds repellant to you, id drop this drama now before you waste another 25 hours of your life you cant ever get back.
