Basic test, this one is pretty basic and absolutely instinctive.
If a person you like is hit, the instinct at that point is to protect that person and not go away with the perpetrator.

The whole drama is ugly. It is neither based on the toon or reality. The drama is challenging basic intelligence of everyone. And it's not just this scene. Every episode has some of these scenes that would leave you in awe of their stupidity.
Just when you think ML and FL can not get any pathetic, The show turns ML into a gutless wimp. This idiot is supposed to be a CEO and is getting beaten up on the street for a girl. TaeMu from webtoon would have wiped the floor with both the FL and her crush at this point. But we need to turn this CEO into a wimpy simp which does not fit in with his character to begin with some for strange Cathartic reason.
Less said about how pathetic the FL still is. The man she was supposed to have fallen for is beaten up by her crush & the thing she does is grab her crushes hand and goes with him. BUT this same woman does not want the ML to have dinner with another woman. Talk about nauseating character development. The guy she likes gets beaten up and she goes hand in hand with the guy who beat him. One would think the immediate thing to do is care for the victim.
It's really hard to swallow your belief and go on with the belief as to why the ML likes this idiot and FL sudden feelings comes across as even suspect.
But hey, this is a cheap knock off every other Cdrama out there, So, lets buckle up for the love story of a Gutless Wimp who happens to be CEO and the pathetic girl.

Well, it's not possible to post here about how crappy the drama is if I don't watch it. And the second couple is carrying this show. They are pretty adorable.
The webtoon was brilliant as it was. They could have just made an exact copy of the webtoon and it would have been a great fluffy drama.
They did not need to make a poor cdrama knock off.
This drama is way too crappy. From the looks of it, these kinds of dramas do seem to be a thing in Asia.
Let me show you how crappy this drama is -
30 year old gorgeous girl, rich and CEO of a company. Has studied abroad in best colleges worked abroad as well. Somehow she never liked a guy or ever dated one either. This lady comes back to Korea and due to circumstances meets a guy who is average, parents have fried chicken set up and they just get by. So, one day out of blue this guy, the ML starts crying in front of our gorgeous woman CEO about how much he loves another girl, how much he misses her and how he has been deeply in love with this another girl for 7 years. In bizarre twist, our CEO girl starts liking this weepy man who is open about his feelings etc etc and starts simping him and chasing him. A few days later, this man who has been deeply in love with another girl starts making out with the CEO girl who is chasing him Now the girl ML liked for 7 years starts getting jealous and starts being mean to our CEO lady...... the story continues in predictable way
Anyone seen a drama with this story? Absolutely not. None of us have since it is an absolutely nauseous story line and we all know the reason(s) why this story has never been made into a Cdrama or kdrama.
If the above was a crappy premise for a drama, why would any story with swapped genders become suddenly good? And it's not like it's an unique drama. Half of Cdramas have exactly the same story line including the characters, the weepy scenes, the 2ML etc etc.
with next episode preview it's pretty apparent this drama is a poor knock off of cheap Cinderella-CEO Cdrama. At least the Cdrama has chemistry going for it. This one does not even have that - hence the poor knock off.

Why would these guys lie that this is based on the webtoon? except for the names of the characters, there is absolutely nothing in the drama from the webtoon. If anything this is an exact copy of dozen other Cdramas this year with CEO as ML and that too a shitty copy.
The already stupid ML now is considering dating other women. Considering the shit he just went through, one would think he needs some time to reflect and get a measure of control on his life. But the idiot feels the need for another woman in his already messed up life. Would any sane person who went though what the ML just did feels the need to have another woman in his life? What is he offering this new woman anyway? No love, can't or won't protect her and when she faces difficulties he will outright abandon her.
The ML is incredibly stupid, pathetic and insane at this point.
Imagine you are seeing an incredibly stupid drama with incredibly stupid scenes, don't you want to share them with everyone.
Just think of me doing just that.

Then she sees the police car and stops any escalation.
