Why kill off Yan He? Is it because somebody has to be sacrificed then why not the besotted fool that caused the military disaster? The Emperor has some serious problems with plum blossoms. Xiao is ambidexterous, actually all his limbs are weapons. here we have the female hero arriving to the rescue on a white horse. Swordplay as foreplay. A long walk to the altar follows, then some horsing around in the moonlight. Fade out. The End.
Ep. 34 Zilan looks good with red (bloody) lips but his heart is black with jealousy. Something snap in his mind when the sugar figure He Yan made for him crumbled. His majesty is being deliberately cruel to expect such a sacrifice from on or the other of them. He can't possibly be suspicios of their power given his past relationship Xiao and her indisputable loyalty.
Ep 33 Rewards and Punishment. He Rufei has a fit and the deposed Chancellor kicks the bucket. Pingping finds out her father is a traitor and Chu Zhao loves the heroic general. The heroic general is in love with the other heroic general who looks very tasty.
Ep. 32 was really full of exposition: Treason no less. It's all coming out in the wash in front of the Emperor. He Yan presents her three crimes against He Rufei and the Chancellor. Her mother brings the incriminating letters at fatal cost to herself. Other witnesses give details of the crimes committed. Even Chu repents serving this vile master.
Ep. 31 He Rufei has the goods on the Chancellor and in a murderous funk. He Yan is going 'home' to claim what's rightfully hers. Mr. Chu is still on the fence. What strikes me about this drama is how beautiful the costumes are. I'm totally taken with Mr. Chu's ginko leaf decorated garment.
Ep 29 The prerequisite boring banquet troup starts the action which quickly gets more intense. He Hufei gets hot under the collar. That only gets worse when is gets his a** handed to him in a contest in front of his Majesty. Then it's time for rewards and punishment. Can He Yan overcome the crime of cross-dressing? The evil plotters are on a tear, so we await the royal decree.
Ep. 28 still slugging away to finish this. Feinu has finally come into his own. getting He Yan a place to stay in the Capitol and fighting the assassins at the Inn. I've always wondered why he was alway just used to bring messages and take away orders, never had a back story of any kind. I worry that this means it's his last hurrah.
Jeez, just started this and didn't expect all this mumbo jumbo. Was expecting a straight military conflic drama. Here is our ML stripped down to his bare chest twice and the episode is barely halfway. What's a Linglong? and why has it turned him into a precocious kid. He's flirting his way into the General's heart. Is there a silver lining to all this?
yes.... shallow water becomes a deep lake when she falls in
I've always wondered, how in these dramas every pond, lake, stream, river happens to be as deep as the Mariana Trench and inevitably someone special descends to help with the ascension, while locking eyes/lips/arms, to the surFACE.
Another battle, another win! Is it the sword, is it the whip, or maybe the mask. She's downright invincible. Men will follow her unquestionable into battle (even straw men), or swoon over her from the sidelines. Are there any enemies she can't vanquish?
Ep. 19 Masters can be bastards when they decide who their disciples can and cannot marry. The Princess and her long-ago suitor do not know that their devotion was crushed by others and have lived two decades in sorrow. War is imminent and Ye Han gets to strut her stuff. There is no sugar-coating it, Mr. Chu is in love and will wear her garment close to his chest. His maid is not impressed.
Ep. 10 Merchants' daughters have turned into corpses. Ye Han is outraged about the lack of response from the men who only seem to care about what the ledgers can do to advance their plans. Luckily these particular daughters have some value so the Commander gets provisions for his troops. Mr. Chu is also able to impress the guy who pulls his strings, but meanwhile he can't help but be impressed with 'Mr. Cheng' and secretly thanks him for the pleasure he got watching the sword dance. What's happening to the father/son duo of murdering scum?
Ep. 9 Perfect ending for a fiend. He Yan got revenge. The ledgers are still not revealed and Mr. Chu is just biding his time What won't He Yan do to get into the Batallion? Even tell all about the red mole. Horrors! One chapter is done another opens on the corpses of women barely covered up.
Ep 4 "I just want to feel your sword" This cross-dressing business can all get a bit silly. He must have very sensitive nerve endings in his back muscles as she is hardly well endowed. Hugging a dead wolf for warmth is funny. While pulling her out of the wolf pit, he didn't really put his back into it only the occasional frown. This acting could have used better direction.
Ep. 3 Playing footsie and getting the benefit of private training. Weight training and endurance are the basis for winning competitions. There are no sore losers as they acknowledge who's boss.
Ep 2 Blowing bubbles while the general shows off his abs in the hot spring. This should loosen them up. She's got what it takes to handle horses and blades. Her snoring (and probably farting) roommates are in for a surprise.
