Episode 36 is too darn depressing. I need some relief from this storyline.

'Changing iconic scenes comes at a price' can certainly be said of many dramas. This one continues to be new and original. I've got five episodes to go and enjoying the journey.

Not good! Ep. 34 ends with a lot of question marks. The Screenwriter is throwing a wrench into a lovely drams. She needs to get Guihong to kill his fake father. Then they can just all write their own story for here on in.

Episode 31 was monumental. In the beginning where Nan Heng makes all her dreams come true is priceless. As a reward YiMeng lets it all hang out trying to make Nan Heng understand the premise of the situation they find themselves in. What's so great is that even though its all so farfetched he believes her and tries to get his head around how he can change the predetermined future. What a sweetheart I'm on team Nan Heng.

I'm enjoying Dream Within a Dream more because of the leads and the more uniqye and humorous story. I just twigged to the fact that the Emperor is played by the same actor in both. I guess because I've seen him in so many roles and that's why he looked familiar.

The seventh Prince might not hate his uncle's guts, but I do. i'm also tired of watching Yingming's fake outrage at not being in the loop. Most of all I hate GuiHong. His twisted, perverse persona is out of control. How is he still in power after torturing and faking evidence? Are there no consequences? I guess we'll have to see how closely they stick to the script.

The reason this drama is suffering in the ratings must be because the writers are totally not sticking to the characters that they initially created for us. Never in a million years would they not clarify the hairpin plot. This is sh*tty writing and they better get back on track soon.

I'm enjoying it a lot as I had missed the characters; have only done 6 episodes and already that 'brother' has thrown a wrench into the relationship so I'm frustrated that a broken jade hairpin can undermine this couple's future.

That was a touching moment when Qing Tai turned back to smile after Tao Hua sent her off to find the Prince. It felt very forbodding. Carving the exam question on a jade bracelet must have taken a while; selling it would have been worth a few gold tael. The rest of the episode was more maneuvering to find out who killed the Crown Prince and who left the lotus flower footprints everywhere.

That GuiHong is so full of blind hate that it makes him totally gullible, but the worst of it is seeing the delight he takes in torturing NanHeng's men. For a drama that started off light-hearted with a lot of comedic action, this has taken quite a dark turn. Too bad.

What a heartless b*tch crying crocodile tears. He does 'sad sack' really well. So she's dumb enough to take off in the middle of the night with just the driver of the carriage. He runs off and instead of taking the reins and getting away from the assassins who are on foot she hides behind a tree doing the 'damsel in distress' thing. I guess following the script means she has to be dumb as a brick. Ok, so she knows how to throw overhead. They've come to the edge of the cliff, required in every drama, and drags him down with her. It takes him an hour to light a spark but it's better than having her stay cold.

Hilarious. The falling off a cliff trope and she didn't even break a fingernail, muss her hair or get a smudge on her diaphanous gown.

I hate all that 'blood is thicker than water' stuff. His uncle is obviously evil and should be put down, so why let him get away with continuously intimidating Nan Heng?

Frustrating to watch the first half of ep 23 where she is being a total nitwit. He's scum of the earth treating his Nightwalkers like trash. They are both having to exist in a sh*tty script. We need a rewrite.

I can't figure out what this Waning River Crescent is for or about as it seems only to have a couple of men play dressup and wear masks while they meet with women they love .It's taking over so much time in the drama and sowing confusion between the sisters. Is that the whole point?

Zhengchun Boudoir is seeing all the action in ep 18. That whipping makes it a bloody romance. Her luscious lips will be his downfall. Oops, it's ep. 19 and they were really HER downfall. Now he's sorry and searching the cold river holding his torch (literally). He's up sh*t's creek with the sadistic emperor so he gets paddled. Then he goes back to the boudoir to get drunk and cry into his cups about what he's lost. She gets found. Damp, bleeding and despite her photographic memory cannot picture getting bedded in the boudoir. She is lost too.

So I'm halfway through so I guess I should rate it. I'm leaning to a 9.5 because this is really an inventive, funny drama. It has good acting, superior production and sound. One small complaint for episodes 19 & 20 is the cutesy voice and silly manners the FL resorted to. She seems too smart to have to go there to get out of the marriage.

Oh no, they've got their hands on the pretty prince and are slicing away at him. The chancellor is on the case but not close enough. Tao Hua's flower is in full bloom but she refuses to do their heinous bidding. Something's gotta give.

No i't not her, it's a delightful bromance.

Finished ep. 15. The crown prince is demoted; his bromance took the fall (on a rope); the sister is crushed; all the harem is dispersed. The chancellor never seems to have time or inclination to have marital relations. That doesn't bode well for Princess. What's next in the struggle for survival?
