Ep. 11 I don't get it. I can see how losing the pearl can kill Bi Bi but I thought it could be used to kill the 8 foot monster so how come the monster could extract it and eat it and survive?
We'll it's done. Quite an engaging story, good chemistry between leads their fraught history makes compelling watching. The secondary characters are well-developed and they get well-rounded storylines. Some likable characters had sad outcomes and there were some well-deserved demises for those characters who could not let go of their grudges. Was not familiar with Song SuEr but she is quite a convincing and accomplished actress. Liu YuNing is showing up in more and more leads and makes a fine looking action hero who also does romance well.
Good to see the drama has reached 9.0. I'm on ep. 34 and it sure has turned dark. I'm gutted that General Wei Liang has been gutted and by a friend at that. Along with noses, moral compases have been lost. Can you ever come back from that? I feel especially bad about the stableboy's fate.
Only up to ep. 29 and after a year of mourning on her part and a year of anticipation on his, we get the night to remember which consists only of foreplay interuptous. What a waste.
The Peony Lady is full of self-delusion and evil intent always fake sobbing and trying to call on historical connection to save her bald-faced, lying a**. Now she has a major nosebleed but worry not she just happens to have a golden nose job in her luggage and after disposing of some klepto maids head to greener pastures to continue her killing spree.
Just finished ep. 27, Mr. Wei is truly pitiful. Unrequited love can be a bitch. Plenty of people want to add to the trouble between the Wei cousins. They say true love conquers all, we'll see.
So if he was never Hongrang, what was his real name. Did he have one? Did he ever tell her what it was? It was with great relish that I watched the evildoers get cut to ribbons. The sweet moments they had together were well deserved. Even death could not banish their devotion to each other.
Ep. 9 has it all. The relentless chase. The quiet moments of ecstasy. Our lovers are granted some respite. Then the mob decends and trapped they have to face the horrors of the missionary position.
Yes, he's clueless and this is taking too much time. In the meantime there is a lot of time spent on minor charcters which totally deflates the tension in the drama.
Just finished up to ep 17. Come on let's get this great drama up to a 9 rating at least. I'm loving all the intrigue and manipulation of foes. Qiao Xiao is so clever in how she supports her 'Lord' in his plans as well as taking take of his personal needs. That scene where she rubs him the right way and he slowly relaxes into her bosom is priceless.
I love everthing about this drama. Of course, I want the evil guys to get punished eventually. In the meantime they are good foils. Yeori holds this whole drama in her capable hands. Yun Gap is a sweet, clumsy fool who knows when to play hardball. The leads are attractive and I'm happy to see that they acknowledge that they are attracted to one another. So many great supporting actors. The wily Queen Dowager's face is in constant motion. Yun Gap's mom is a force of nature. Bravo to all involved.
Didn't Ehuang just get away with one. I thought she had something to do with boiling the wheat but it seems only his dotty mother got the blame? I'm liking the leads relationship. It's still wary but they are warming up to each other more and more.
Have you read the novel? Without going into it too much, the new plotting wife plays an instrumental role in the…
Thank you for the information. I have not read the novel and one can never be sure how closely these dramas follow their source material. Nevertheless, I guess just watching the main leads keep going between bickering and attraction can get boring for some. Not me.
I hope this drama stays this good and gets into the 9 ratings range. The dandy new Wei cousin is slightly amusing. Will he make a play for the FL? I doubt she will be tempted. The new subplot with the coughing character, his plotting wife and uncle seems an unnecessary distraction.
