Ep. 19 Ok, things are looking up except I can't figure our why Tan's face is so white it looks like she's using flour for make-up. Lot of coupling going on here, the chicken lady is melting at the sight of a bunch of fireflies and Minmin is having to watch herself being the joke in a play.

Ep. 16,17, 18 This estrangement is going on much too long. I'm not enjoying this drama any more.

I feel you. It's so sad that all Xu can do is get plastered.

Ep. 15 are you kidding me. Is Tan really going to believe her 'godfather' over her husband and father regardless of what lies and accusations he comes up with?

I guess we need these little recurring dramas, or else it wouldn't be so sweet when they finally get those lips in gear.

Ep. 13/14 Had a hard time liking the FL here. Dreamboat rescued her from being raped, takes a severe beating as a result and she takes it out on him by taking away his favorite food and giving him crappy veggies. Yes, for some reason there's a concubine in the house but she doesn't even try to get to the bottom of why.

I'm watching ep. 8-10 and it's pretty slow but what bugs me most is that she keeps slagging him for keeping his emotional distance when she's the one who made him sign the marriage contract that include the clause of no noodling.

Just finished ep 6 and have to say Jiang Xu is everywhere all at once. Still, that's not hard to take as he is handsome and is fair and just. Tan has a lot to look forward to and being sent somewhere to the sticks is doing that mean Ming Chu a good turn. Will she be out of our hair now, I doubt it.

Just started this because there is not much new in historical Cdramas right now. The ML is gorgeous and brooding just the way I like, the FL seems a bit lightweight so far. The emperor is strikingly handsome, I'll have to look back at some of his leading roles. One thing bugs me the outfits/costumes the court officials are wearing a so baggy and ugly that that make them look like fools. Is that intentional? There's an unending slew of young ladies in this drama. Hard to keep them straight.

Not familiar with these actors. The ratings are so low is it worth watchine?

Ep. 11 I don't get it. I can see how losing the pearl can kill Bi Bi but I thought it could be used to kill the 8 foot monster so how come the monster could extract it and eat it and survive?

We'll it's done. Quite an engaging story, good chemistry between leads their fraught history makes compelling watching. The secondary characters are well-developed and they get well-rounded storylines. Some likable characters had sad outcomes and there were some well-deserved demises for those characters who could not let go of their grudges. Was not familiar with Song SuEr but she is quite a convincing and accomplished actress. Liu YuNing is showing up in more and more leads and makes a fine looking action hero who also does romance well.

Good to see the drama has reached 9.0. I'm on ep. 34 and it sure has turned dark. I'm gutted that General Wei Liang has been gutted and by a friend at that. Along with noses, moral compases have been lost. Can you ever come back from that? I feel especially bad about the stableboy's fate.

Only up to ep. 29 and after a year of mourning on her part and a year of anticipation on his, we get the night to remember which consists only of foreplay interuptous. What a waste.

The Peony Lady is full of self-delusion and evil intent always fake sobbing and trying to call on historical connection to save her bald-faced, lying a**. Now she has a major nosebleed but worry not she just happens to have a golden nose job in her luggage and after disposing of some klepto maids head to greener pastures to continue her killing spree.

This age business has me confused. They look good together and while physically reserved show their affection for each other.
