Glad to hear Taecyeon is all right then. I'd hoped perhaps the drama just had issues and his character was the problem. Maybe it'll be like with Ji Chang Wook and I'll enjoy him more the second time around.
Isn't Sandglass the mega-popular classic from some time ago? What sort of things does the story entail otherwise? I haven't seen many "oldies," so to speak. :o

Wow. Besides Jumong, Song Il Gook seems to star in at least six other dramas I've taken an interest in. I'd never bothered to look him up before, despite hearing a lot about him; now I wonder why. He really is a looker, especially for 42. Not only does he appear younger, but as you said, carries a sophistication even in photos. It makes me much more interested in Sea God, also; Choi Soo Jong is his co-star, and I'm feeling eager to see him again soon.
But wow! Triplets?! His wife must really adore him, haha. I always thought it would be neat for identical siblings to do things like that together. For instance, in Japan, there's a pop duet called On/Off and they're twin brothers. Found it such a cute name XD
Another reversal of fortune? Your description of the atmosphere is really intriguing me. I'm seriously about to start it out of dire curiosity ->

Oh! That would be too cute! I can imagine that in a Tokimeki Memorial-style, modern Fushigi Yugi game. Sort of like the high-school story they did for Hakuouki, though it does still resemble a visual novel more.
The gender reversal would have been fun. It is rare to see a poor man in Korean drama, though, so I'm not complaining. The relationship starts for mercenary reasons, though, right? That could be an upsetting reveal later. How is Taecyeon's acting, by the way? My encounter with him in Who Are You was less than stellar. I'm hoping it was just an isolated incident.
Did you say sculpted? <.< Perhaps I'll need to get over my episode fears. A classic, quality show + a gorgeous lead = must watch, ne? Looks like they've got it on Crunchyroll, so I can sneak it at work. >.>
I think I'll wait for your reaction to King's Daughter before watching. Hopefully the cut didn't affect too much.

Right? I wonder why that happens, though. Many people around our respective ages tend to feel 2000 was only a few years ago. When in reality, it's almost two decades later now. Brains can be so weird, ne? XD
The letter thing is really amazing. It's almost like being a mail-order husband. "Hey, we get along well on vellum and it's been two months. Let's get married!" On one hand, it's romantic, on the other...I hope it worked out more often than not, with people in the modern day breaking up after years.
Were those films good? I've been thinking of following Jang Hyuk via movies first. Ah, no! ;A; She's in Couple or Trouble? That's incredibly disappointing. That one interested me just by ear, but somehow I didn't realize her presence...his dimples distracted me!
What problems were they having with the detective drama, by the way? D: Did nobody pick it up?

Haha! When the heroine fails, he can just come up and whack her in the back of the head with a wooden sword. XD
Ah, what a waste! That's just like Oh Ji Ho in Chuno, then; I didn't even know he *had* dimples because he was so often grim-faced. When he did smile, it was very tight. What kind of reversal is there in Wonderful Days, by the way? Is the male lead the one chasing the female, or? I think it'd be fun to discuss week to week too, though. Many of my currently airing ones are near to completion, so...
Ah, wow. I've always wanted to see Jumong, but the 90 episodes scares me. It's just like with Kim Myung Min's Yi Soon Shin drama, with over 100 O_O. Aren't King's Daughter episodes slightly shorter though? I believe they're close to 30 minutes long, rather than the traditional 100. In that way, it's more like 50, I guess.

Right? Though because you mention Cute Yushin, I'm imagining an anime-style chibi Yushin with red cheeks running around the set with a sewing needle. Pranking Kim Min Joon must be for the glory of Shilla. XD
Speaking of dimples, I'm thinking of starting Wonderful Days after I knock out Third Ward (with another gorgeous dimpled man, Oh Ji Ho). That series is so strange, because while I started it somewhat shallowly to peek at Oh Ji Ho, the much older Kim Seung Woo totally distracted me. His character is so charming XD Somehow that seems to happen to me a lot recently. But yeah, there were a lot of dimples in that sentence, haha. <_<

Yup! It's probably best to get caught up to Wonderful Days soon. That way you won't need to tackle 20+ episodes at a later date. Being able to watch a 50 episode drama week to week seems much more manageable after all. There were a few I was interested at around 40 episodes, but I've been so distracted by others that I've let them pass by. ^_^;; Now it's more like 36 episodes and two weeks to catch up, haha.
Oh wow! They did a Happy Together for this film? Kim Min Joon has been catching my eye like mad lately, so this is like two for the price of one! I'm currently up to the part where they're talking about all the pranks Tae Woong played on set. I can't believe he sewed Min Joon's pants like that. XD
Kyung Soo is the best right? He might be my favorite leading man in a romance, ever. What you mention is exactly what I enjoyed about the drama; that it was also somewhat family-oriented.

Which plot interests you the most though? :o It sounds like you've gotten a lot of material from the Ji Hyun plot--though that's understandable. Out of the three, the most seems to happen there--the other two are much more slice of life.
I can't wait until you get more in depth with the series, though. There are lots of scenes between Director Kyung Soo and the son that were just perfect XD

You know, that's a great way to put it. When I was writing my review for Can We Love? I had a lot of trouble describing how different each woman's story felt from the other. Writer Yoon's felt like the renaissance, Ji Hyun's the melodrama, etc.
You're lucky to be able to peek ahead, actually. There were many times where I wished I could, to prepare for certain eventualities. But I was watching while it aired, so there was no way ;A;
I'd love to join the club! Right now, I'm still firmly in the "I wanna marry Uhm Tae Woong!" division, despite him being, well, married. XD Perhaps I'll pick up Wonderful Days soon.
Ah, the evil mother-in-law! Yeah, she's probably the least well-done character of the lot, but I found her very...well, organically evil than the norm. Her abuse seemed very plausible, though whenever I've heard that kind of behavior, it's usually part of a case file. O_O ->

Isn't that cute and funny? Any woman, mother or no, would like one of these gorgeous men, haha.
Jung Wan's son is such a precocious and thoughtful child. The leads really are good people too, despite some flaws. But who doesn't have those? You'll find that plot quickly resolves conflicts, rather than letting them fester. Some parts would have been unbearable in another drama, but seem more realistic here. It's probably because the viewer is made to feel sorry for him right off the bat though; Producer Ahn has such a gentle heart ;-; UTW is toooo cute here, though. My mother heard me giggling over his scenes and laughed at me XD
I'd heard Wonderful Days is very good :o My only experience with this Mr. Dimples would be in Gye Baek, unfortunately. Very few smiles in that sageuk. :,(
It would be the perfect otome game, though! Though I'd have another conundrum: Yushin or Alcheon? Ahhhh XD

See, now I feel guilty because I'd totally play a Queen Seon Duk-themed otome game. Viewers always joked that her inner circle was the "Shilla F4," and between Kim Nam Gil, Yoo Seung Ho, Uhm Tae Woong, and Lee Seung Hyo playing them...haha. :,)
He does! That character is super sweet, as well as hot. Which kind of amplifies the heat. I'm glad that you can see that side of Sun Mi; a lot of people pegged her later actions as nasty and they are, but there are definitely psychological issues at play. I felt very sorry for her, especially in these initial episodes.
Mm, I love the title. It adds something a bit more to the story, rather than the initial "Mother Needs a Man," as funny as it was. It's just sad things have to be that way; I feel like these ladies would have had an easier time if they have really could opened up to one another.

I think the real Kim Yushin probably spins in his grave each time I type out "cute Baby Yushin." He fought hard and long for Shilla and this is his thanks, hahaha XD
Playboy Grandpa Myung Min! That needs to happen someday. It's very easy to imagine indeed. Despite having seen him in many other things until now, I just imagine him grey and wearing the Anthony suits. XD
Glad to hear it! Wasn't his reaction priceless? It amused him too much, haha. Those two have sparkling chemistry, some of the best I've seen in ages. The producer played by Kim Sung Soo right? He's crazy hot. Never saw him before this drama somehow. *_*
The ladies do seem quite lonely, right? What makes it sadder is that they all pretend they're living well in front of their friends. Not even being able to talk to the people you're close to, because of image... if it happens often in real life, that'd be awful.

Right? He was the cutest baby Yushin, haha. But with Hyun Woo and Yoo Seung Ho also, I'm most excited to see how they'll be around 30-35. Many actors hit their stride around that age, looks and talent-wise. But that makes me think of how old I'LL be, and how just about all the actors I enjoy now will be playing ajusshi roles (or retired). Such a weird thought, suddenly becoming a serious noona drama stalker. XD
Many of the characters exhibit big flaws, though I found they typically even out or become understandable. The male leads are pretty likable, so you'll have some bastion in them. I'm curious to see where your challenge leads you~
I'm also crazy excited for Into the Fire with Choi Soo Jong. Lots of great actors coming back with interesting projects...well, after all the usual romcoms end that is. :,) Much as I like peeking at Joo Sang Wook, I need New Leaf *_*

Oh! So there are other wild teachers other than the Wakaouji-like one. That sounds pretty cute. School dramas usually focus only on one teacher even though classes rotate (well, in Asia, the teachers rotate, but still). But yeah, the cast isn't bad at all; I've always liked Lee Hyun Woo in particular.
Beyond the Clouds does seem like a drama that will sit differently on different people. It's much more artsy (and emotionally heavy, rather than action-y) than I expected, so that probably doesn't help. Haha, isn't that the part where they try desperately to make the leads look like teens? That's luckily a one-off scene, but admittedly it scared me a bit too. If you can make it to Tae Woong, you might feel better about it; the character's really adorable. But do what feels right. :)
Did you hear about Kim Myung Min's new drama? So excited!
My friend and I were chatting about the plot, and we've come up with a possible solution. While we believe the husband is indeed fishy and likely connected in some way, he appears to be another red herring. A more probable culprit is likely none other than Team Leader Hyun Woo Jin.
Think about it. When Saet Byul is first kidnapped--who appeared at just the right instant to distract Soo Hyun from the delivery man? Who called her away to tea? And after the fact, who controlled the case? Is it possible that Team Leader Hyun manipulated the events so that Saet Byul would definitely not be found?
As the ex of Soo Hyun, there's motive should things have gone messy in the past. We're not sure on the particulars of their break-up, after all. He even has deep-rooted connections to nearly everything...including the accident that left Dong Chan's nephew disabled.
Just something to consider. :)

Right? Worse yet, in some of his cutscenes they tend to overdo the "old" thing. Like his swimsuit? They apparently designed it after one of those antique, horizontal striped one-piece bathing suits. It's not quite as bad as the real thing, but.... I wonder whether the creators are ageist? XD Some of his events are still very classically romantic, though.
It would be great to get to experience an older main character! Unfortuantely, it seems like most of those are M-rated games. ;A;
Beyond the Clouds is pretty good. I'm finding Yoon Kye Sang a capable lead, who plays an out of control character beautifully. The story itself is somewhat shaky in places, particularly where the means for revenge originate. Otherwise, the romance is working as intended and the atmosphere is good.

If they do get around to making that HBO Monster and want to keep the lead Japanese, it's possible they'd choose Sanada-san. He's easily one of the most recognizable Japanese actors in the west, other than Ken Watanabe and Tadanobu Asano.
Unfortunately I still haven't gotten around to Monster. Every time I think to, I somehow get distracted by dramas or work. :,) I have easy access to the episodes though, so one of these days I'll probably end up sitting down with it. That's a good idea. I still haven't seen most of the secret characters (other than handsome Mr. Author), for that very reason. It's always good to leave some surprises, haha. What drove me crazy about the Principal was that his personality wasn't all really bad. I remember seeing some screens some time ago where people "erased" his mustache. The impression was *much* better, and he actually looked more his age. I'd have had more fun with his route had he looked like that, I think.
Mm. I actually liked that the game doesn't go the super salacious route, but keeps it gentle until the end. It gives the guys extra points for being decent, as well as being pretty cute--waiting that long is pretty amazing.
Ah, so it's a darker take on Oz? Odd eyes can definitely add to the fantastical look of a person, so I can see why you'd say that. She's got the right air for a Dorothy, too. ->

That makes sense, though: not being wholly willing to prod and poke the teacher romantically. It always struck me as amusing the game encourages it. Here's this high school girl, aggressively pursuing her teacher in various ways, haha. In that way, she's more bold for you. xD
That guy WAS persistent, right? He often reached Tokimeki State, even when I left him angry for months. I always tried to utilize that system where you ask them for a date on a day they'll definitely not show up, keke. That way I could defuse the bomb and continue ignoring them.
