Adore Alfie! He doesn't have the traditional look or background which heroes of this type of story tend to have, but his personality is just wonderful. There are a lot of great-looking and suitable guys in Larkrise, though~ But not Phillip. Never liked Phillip. XD
Julia Sawalha is a pleasant surprise, right? She has a tremendous versatility. It still gives me boundless joy when I see her, and again am proven she can do more than the spoiled Lydia.
I've just finished White Chapel (after getting bogged down by this or that drama, haha). It has such an atmosphere, but wow...I don't think I remember the last time I've been that disturbed by a crime drama. O_O
Wow, congratulations! :o You must be very proud of her, that sounds amazing. I wish both your girls the best of luck, and you as well. :) Here's to everyone passing and surviving March~
<3 This was enjoyable to read. :D But we need to add one more item to the list -- the tracksuit look. Whether…
I actually own a tracksuit or two for exercise, but sometimes use them as casual wear these days. It's a dream of mine to have a bejeweled one as in Secret Garden. I absolutely promise to be polite while wearing it, though, haha.
There will be only 22 episodes, though an extension from the original 21 has taken place. I'm not sure I could have lasted 26 episodes of this... so I'm actually relieved. >.o
This might have been one of the funniest things I've ever read on the site. I already lost it by the time I'd gotten to the "fresh-from-the-shower" look. Well played. XD

Mm! Definitely. It makes me happy when they cover a show I'm interested in for that very reason. Though I've been watching Korean dramas for a little while now, I still haven't picked up on all of the nuances of the culture. Oh, you finished My Name is Kim Sam Soon recently? I just finished a Hyun Bin drama myself. :)

Sounds like a perfect last episode for an action drama. :) When you start either one, I'd love to hear about it. I used to have interest in Inspiring Generation, but some of issues it's had behind-the-scenes scared me off (for now). It'd be great if it was good despite those~

That's exactly the feeling. Dramabeans does do excellent recaps, right? A long time ago, I worked on two for this site (for Shark and Good Doctor), but it proved to be too much work to continue doing them long term. It's amazing how they find the time and energy to do it~

Ah, uneven pacing? That's not too bad, especially if it has a good pay-off. I hope you enjoy the finale!
As to Cruel City: I absolutely adored that drama. Last year, I watched it while it aired, and waiting week to week was sheer torture. Probably one of the best action dramas I've ever seen, and the characters are wonderful too. I've also heard people compare it to Time Between Dog and Wolf, so if you liked it a lot, you're probably good to go.

Super excited too. Just the other day, I felt sad when reading video game news; this samurai-centric game was slated to have downloadable costumes from Gunshi Kanbei, and it reminded me there weren't subs. I'll probably wait to start it also. After all, I've still got Yae no Sakura to contend with. *_*
I'm doing fine in the drama department! Missing Friend, Our Legend a little, though. Going to be sad when Can We Love? ends also. Does your slump have any end in sight? I remember reading you were working through some lakorns recently :o
By the way, I really enjoyed your list of facts! It was fascinating. :)

Cheer! It's too early to tell if it'll be reliable, but it looks like Gunshi Kanbee might start being subbed. The first ep is currently available~

I really ought to. Guess I know what I'll be starting once Can We Love? ends next week, haha. If you do try it yourself, tell me what you think. It's a lot of fun to discuss~ And I feel your pain; work often whittles away my free-time these days.
Unfortunately, I have a personality quirk that makes me somewhat antsy about dropping dramas. For some reason, I watch everything or nothing at all...even without skipping scenes. It makes the initial selection process very difficult. XD

Everyone seems to enjoy Empress Ki~ That's great. As an impatient sageuk fan, I decided to push it back until more episodes were out. But it really looks like I won't be able to resist starting it soon, haha. Good to hear Bride of the Century is fun, though. The premise sounds pretty neat.
Right now, I'm really enjoying Boku no Ita Jikan and Can We Love? Both are about to end, and have been great until now. I would particularly recommend Can We Love? if you enjoy romantic comedies with a mature spin. Probably the only disappointing one on my list is Deja Vu; it's...pretty bad, haha.

Somehow, I ended up watching all available episodes almost at once. The story wriggled its way into my heart so much, I just felt compelled to see more. Good thing it was a day off. XD
Takuto and Megumi are very cute together indeed, ne? The name scene definitely was sweet. Japan usually places more importance and responsibility on the oldest son, which makes the poor guy's situation sort of telling. You're right, this sort of subject matter does pop up a lot in Japan...though I hope it isn't a huge issue in society like I fear it might be.
They've paced the onset of the disease and its effects very nicely; I think you'll enjoy...(well, it's kind of hard to say enjoy for a disease drama... You'll probably take interest and emotional investment in it easily. The atmosphere and life situation of the Takuto make it very unique, too.

Definitely! You're very talented. About to finish Time Between Dog and Wolf? I've never had the opportunity to see it, though I'm very interested to see the character Jung Kyung Ho played. Have you enjoyed it?

Oh, I know right? Some professionals surprise me, being able to develop and successfully publish multiple series. One would be hard enough, even a single novel. Growing up, I figured it would be impossible to emulate; they say that talent is inherent. But a favorite author of mine once said it merely seems effortless for some writers on the surface; the process takes a huge amount of time and edits. Another actually developed the idea for his big break for almost a decade :o So wild.
Twelve Years A Slave really deserved the Oscar (well, that or Dallas Buyers Club). The only caveat is that it isn't for the weak of heart; it can be pretty intense at times >.<
Ah! Did you enjoy it? Who did you like best so far? :) Hopefully you don't get too stressed and things even out soon~

Mm, you should. Many different genres were represented too. Out of the group, I only saw Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club, Twelve Years A Slave, and Wolf on Wall Street. It makes me feel a little bad for Leo DiCaprio though; he keeps getting placed against these great performances, even though doing well himself. XD
It's such an incredible prospect, right? Unfortunately, I think I might be a little too old to pursue acting realistically. Might be that I pursue writing a bit more seriously in the future, though. It's never too late to build skill in that department, especially when one has to use it so frequently~

Haha! Perhaps once a month we'd all have to watch something insufferable to drum up the funds.
Ah, no worries. Torrents can honestly be a pain, and then there's also worrying about the upload ratio. Sometimes it's better just to watch streaming. There might be a copy on Youtube or another site, though. Most things find their way onto some site or another.
That sounds really great actually. My favorite theme is probably friendship; throw in a love plot-line or two and it's a bonus. I'll probably push back Love Shuffle for now; if I start with a Tamaki Hiroshi drama, I'll end up stalking his work forever. I like to restrain myself with favorites, since there's always limited works to select from. XD
You know, that's exactly like me. Asian dramas even took my attention away from video games, haha. My obsessions are narrow, too. If you like My Way, feel free to discuss it with me~
