What a great review!I just watched it, and I am blown away by this drama. It's a cinematic masterpiece. And don't…
I recommend trying the classic film version from the 60s, too! It's beautifully shot.

I rewatched this recently, and my review doesn't even begin to do the drama justice. Beautiful show with a remarkable score. Nakai should have acted more after, too.

Does anyone know the singer/song title during Reba and Bin Bin’s waterfall scene? Link to scene here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofST9FMeyCA&t=1s
From what I can glean, the other commenter is correct—this is a ballad by Meng Zi Kun, and the MV is still forthcoming.

Is anyone crushing on The Prince (Yu Zi Han)???? I hate having second lead syndrome especially when the main lead…
I absolutely love the prince, and I'm so sad that he won't be a viable option for the main romance. It could have been an interesting pivot for the storyline, but ...

Subbing this show as well. Subs available at d-addicts
Thank you so much for your hard work!

Thank you so much for this article! The members of SMAP will continue to be iconic even after this, sad news as it is. It's been nearly 30 years, which is just wild. For an interesting drama experience, anything by Kusanagi or Nakai would be perfect for grieving fans. Suna no Utsuwa and Shiroi Kage are fantastic shows, and you're pretty much safe with anything as far as Kusanagi goes. Just one thing: Fuyu no Sakura is about the furthest you can get from laidback, though it is an excellent and mature romance. I watched it three times and sobbed like a madwoman each time.

Title High Heel
P.s. How is this at least a little bit a comedy??
Almost every scene with the gangsters is meant to be satire. The film laughs at the often homoerotic yet hyper-masculine nature of mob cinema. What you're seeing is the upheaval of stereotypical comedic tropes; instead of the transgender character being the butt of the joke, it's the action and violence. This sort of thing has become sort of a trademark for the director/screenwriter, as it were.

Is this based on a true story?
No, though it takes place during the Korean War. It's a moral fantasy with hints of homage to Miyazaki.

I will erect a tombstone in your name for doing this. He's awesome. One of my faves.
Isn't he an incredible actor? Hopefully many more start to see his talents; there are so many great performances Mr. Shin's had. I'm glad you enjoyed the article too; it means a lot.

If I hadn't already liked him, your article definitely would have convinced me to check out some of his works…
Thanks so much for reading and for your compliments, friend~ I'm glad my feelings came across well. That's always been my favorite part of these Stalker's Guides.

Congrats on your first stalker guide Reise! I've been looking forward to this and I already read it while it was…
It's so much fun to see some of these in the editing process, ne? I'm very glad this guide has done him some justice; Mr. Shin's such a great actor, he really deserves it. Thanks so much for reading~

I first saw him in Sympathy for Mr Vengeance and that's when I knew that he was a terrific actor . I just din't…
Thank you so much for stopping by! I am delighted that my guide could help you select more of Mr. Shin's filmography. Since it's such a large body of work, it's daunting to choose, ne? I particularly recommend Welcome to Dongmakgol and The Frontline; he's a-ma-zing in war films for some reason.
