This drama has been on my list for the longest time but I really feel like watching now :) thank you for this…
Glad to give you motivation! We had a lot of fun writing this, so seeing other people benefit from our enjoyment is just wonderful. :) I hope you have fun with the series!
Thank you for this great article! I already heard about it and was considering watching it for a while. And now…
This might be one of the prettiest casts I've ever seen, no joke.

After checking the article page for Prince of Lan Ling, I cackled a little bit. So many people are adding it to their PTW after our article. Mission accomplished~
Ah, I didn't know you did origami! How long have you been working at it?

So happy to see it finally posted, haha! It's actually more exciting than any of my solo articles were for some reason. Good work, friend~ *Hug~* XD

Oh! I think I remember that from video games. Sun Ce and Sun Quan always represent the (red?) kingdom in those. XD
I think I might have already fallen for Lu Bu; they're too cruel, casting Peter Ho in the role. His behavior these last few episodes almost had me swooning, especially when he whispered to Diaochan, "I can't be without you." He'll be my guilty pleasure while I root for the Sun family, haha.
Like you, though, I can't wait to meet the great strategists. The show will probably go through the roof awesome at that point.

So glad I'm not crazy then, haha. Oh my gosh, it was Lee Hyun Woo wasn't it? He's growing up so cute! In Queen Seon Duk, he looked like a little doll~
I wonder how far the timeline extends in this drama. We'll probably see Sun Quan grow up, since they're placing so much emphasis on him as a child. Hopefully, Sun Ce will live up to the standards of the Southlands and not be overshadowed too much. In most historicals and fantasies, a precocious younger sibling is just asking for trouble.
Ah, so Diaochan might have been fictional? From what I know of Lu Bu, while he was a pretty awesome warrior, he had some pretty big personality issues (like overbearing pride, etc). Perhaps she was inserted into the story to explain or soften his worse traits? Nothing is better than a romantic hero that can kick butt, haha.

Ah, it was the younger set of actors; they wore feather ornaments with their headpieces, but not nearly as long. My memory isn't that great lately, so it's very possible I may be thinking of an entirely different series XD
Wasn't episode 7 great though? I actually cried a bit when Sun Jian sent Quan away, and a bit more when the boy had to speak sense into the grieving Sun Ce. For now, I can see myself gravitating toward sympathies with the Southlands. Such a nice family dynamic.
And this thing between Lu Bu and Diaochan? It's cute, but boy does it sound like it'll be rough. <_<

It's actually surprising how good the cast is to this point. Sometimes ensembles with so many actors churn out at least one bad seed; though, hopefully, saying so doesn't summon one down on us, haha.
Oh, you mean that thing with the whip feathers? I had no idea they were actually real! The closest I've seen was in Queen Seon Duk, where I believe Yu Shin (?) wore those tall ones before becoming Hwarang. Perhaps Lu Bu might then, but it seems as though they've dressed costumes down a bit. None of the promotional photos even have his armor, blah. ;A;

Oh, definitely. But Cao Cao is worse than Dong Zhou because of his superior cunning and intellect; taking down a paranoid and brilliant man like that would be much more difficult, should they need to. I love how they're sprinkling in his devilish side in small amounts, from the murders to his manipulation of Liu Bei and his sworn brothers.
But that duel on horseback was well worth it! Peter really is fantastic as Lu Bu so far; he's got the powerful presence and pride down. And I really enjoyed how they showed what a powerhouse team Lu Bu and Red Hare were; they way they were in sync, ah! Even better was how Liu Bei and company were not diminished whatsoever in showing Lu Bu's strength.
And one more Lu Bu gush: shooting those flags down and then nearly taking the leader out when he came to check things out on the wall? Priceless XD

Oh, I know right? Liu Bei and his men are a refreshing addition to the mix of jealous and ambitious lords. As for battle tactics, I doubt we'll see much in the way of those until the "great strategists" start appearing. Well, apart from that adorable kid and his suggestions, haha!
Mm, about 90% of what I know of this story comes from video games, XD
Zhuge Liang is one I do know a bit better, though mostly from Red Cliff; excited to see him show up (and whomever plays him). I'll probably start watching here in a bit~

Ah, that's one of his I've never seen. But I did hear his character was a little um...clingy, to say the least, haha.
Not currently watching any actual wuxia series at the moment, but I did start a version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It's really great so far~

Oh, you didn't like Sword and Flower? I could see that; it was one of those dramas that one would either love or hate, haha. But I hope this new one is good too~ I don't think he's ever been in a solid romantic comedy as a lead before.

Oh, Cao Cao is definitely dangerous. From the little I remember, what happened at his uncle's house is very in-character. The rest of my knowledge, though, comes from proverbs and this great JJ Lin song about the guy, haha. With this drama, because the historical events are so clearly laid out, I'll read by battle (such as The Yellow Turban Revolt, then waiting until the next major conflict, etc).
I'm so excited Peter Ho gets to play Lu Bu, haha. He's the only character I know a lot about, thanks to interest generated by video games.
I love how solid and book-like everything feels about this drama so far! Even the music gives it a classical atmosphere. How did you feel about the battle sequences? When Guan Yu took the enemy head, the voices of the men and the drums were such a cool addition.
Very good choice in drama though. I'm so excited about the next episodes. *Hi-five~*

I'm doing quite well, thanks! Hopefully you, too. Did you see any upcoming series you've taken interest in? Unfortunately I haven't quite, so I'm using this time to work through older and/or longer ones that have caught my eye previously, haha.

Ah, I did! Apparently a big chunk of that cast started dating recently, and Taiwanese/Chinese actors are coming out with the news left and right. XD It's too cute.

So glad to hear that! After a short break, I'll probably continue to the second season. Have they already announced the 3rd then?
Though the episode count in Three Kingdoms had me somewhat worried at first too, my friend asked to watch it together. That will likely help my commitment, as well as a healthy love of the time period. My only hope is that it doesn't drag and uses its length to do justice to the fantastic story, haha.
Sealed With a Kiss has so much potential, but parts of it are just.... The brother-in-law and his goofy friend, as well as the iffy acting of the leading lady, kind of drive me crazy.
