The donghua is so much better. This live action pacing is slow , with lots of fillers occupied by side characters. No chance this live action can ever finish adapting from the novel. I will stick with the donghua. This live action is a snooze fest, the only saving grace is yang yang’s handsome face.
Finished this despite fast forwarding often once they started investigating the cold cases when the pace slowed down significantly, bogged down by plodding flashbacks, overboard long winded DNA analysis and hard to watch cringey scenes which had no relevance to the cases.
Takashina have more screen time than Tokai. sera who is the actual protagonist in the novel is a dull silly character, and that mole on his chin is distracting. And too much politics
if you want the whole condor hero experience you should watch an older version. 2024 version is very compressed,…
They completely ignored Guo Jing’s adventures with his Mongolian elders, friends, sworn brothers while growing up in Mongolia story arc. Up till episode 5, this series is subpar. No interest in continuing
The plot is engaging even if it does drag. Too much focus on Niu Da Li and YYL. The bantering between the two male leads does get annoying after awhile. Great acting all round especially BJT but DYD does get overboard at times. Have to say the old blind man sniffing and touching around is off putting. One of the better C dramas featuring male leads.
Stopped at episode 24. The plot was getting too predictable. I have never liked CCP vs KMT storyline but watched this because of both male leads actors and certainly they were both amazing. However the FL character could be better.
Finished Netflix version and it simply paled in comparison to the Tencent version. The Netflix version lack depth, spoon feeding its audience, the relationship among the Oxford 5 boring, the focus on their romance a waste of time. Most of all I hate the way Netflix butchered ye wenjie’s character. Here is hoping Tencent will continue its high quality production in The Dark Forest.
