Into episode 6 and enjoying this drama except for that wretched airhead spoilt girl Meng Yu. Is her character relevant or just for the sake of a FL. Also find the ML’s kind of country bumpkin demeanour annoying,
Was looking forward to this after watching the impressive episode 1 opening. But with comments warning it’s a family drama and more romance than anything, will skip.
As much as I like watching the ML actor there is just something off in his acting out the character here. Often he was cool and cold, even robotic which I am fine with, then he became so tormented and got all teary eyed which have me rolling my eyes. Episode 10 revelation was a good twist but that being the reason for the ML going berserk was ridiculous since he was supposedly a harden agent the best they have. Should have just ended at episode 10 with that big revelation but no, more twists and turns until the anti climax end of episode 12 where the ultimate monster villain turned into a softie. Miss goody goody tech savvy FL suddenly turned into such a capable agent just defied belief , would be more credible if the cleopatra haired agent was the ML’s side kick. All those sentimental scenes with agents developing consciences are unrealistic and cringey. In episode 11, I rolled my eyes in disbelief when the priest talked about one of his confessors, isn’t that against his vows as a priest , 😂. A plot which tried to be too clever but ended over complicated at times which tested my patience. Can’t rate this more than 7.
A good story let down by a terribly slow pace and under development of some main characters. Too much postulating around the same issue, too little action and too much musing and talking around the same thing. The FL FBI profiler was just there to spoon feed a bunch of incompetent police officers including the ML who was portrayed like a silly country bumpkin until the last episode. This FL was just irrelevant. Ultimately it’s the Chimera characters who shine.
A solid 8 rating. Enjoyed the cases but not the underlying one involving 1st ML ‘s relations with his father. Episode 11 reason for 1st ML wishing to quit the police force was contrived . just get rid of the usual triangle love, two men over 1 woman is so boring . Looking forward to season 2
Finished 3 episodes and am enjoying the crimes. However I am bored with Korean dirty politics, chaebol corruption stories and I am dreading the underlying main story which seemed to be just that. Can’t they just concentrate on a fresh crime per episode and not add more messy complications.
Long drawn out, at times cringeworthy and often melodramatic it’s hard to keep watching without fast forwarding. It’s laughable that the guilty mother got away with just a fine. Would be better if it’s 12 episodes and without the need for your typical evil villain just to showcase how good the victims were
I'm confused, i'm actually at episode 7 and this is really really good, so is the ending that bad ? Should i stop…
Stop before episode 15 ending and forget about episode 1 and you will enjoy it, then watch the rest months later when you are onto another better drama,
Just treat this as 15 episodes and stop towards the ending of episode 15. The whole story is wasted because of episode 15 ending and episode 16. However I still rate this an 8 because of the brilliance of Lee Sung Min.
Can’t rate this higher than 6.5. Started off really well but started to drag mid way, going round and round without adding to the plot. Started to bug me when I gradually prefer the supporting characters more than the two leads. And when they turned to the evil twin thingy I have to roll my eyes because it’s been done so many times. Ultimately just average and the male protagonist’s mother was plain ridiculous when all she said every time she met her son was about his studies. Nothing about how he was supporting himself and paying for her nursing home and hospital needs, 😂
Meh compared to season 1. Crime involving chaebol with its family infighting for power is just too stereotype and boring. Also some of the scenes are over sentimental
