My rating : 8/10 but that's actually a 9-1 rating.

9 because I wasn't bored in any way, the story is interesting and I appreciated the romance although I would have wanted a bit more. The humour is special but you get used to it.

-1 because it shows mafia as something cool. I just can't get used to the idea. Living in Italia neighboring country (France), I sometimes hear of the troubles they cause to the population and I don't want young people to join them because of wrong assumptions from movies or dramas, thinking they'll look great that way. Don't get me wrong, I love Vincenzo character. I knew from the start that the whole concept here was problematic to me. I still managed to enjoy it a lot because at least the drama makes it look like Vincenzo didn't really hurt innocent people, even before coming to Korea.

Just to warn you: think of the scariest one in Hotel del Luna, Goblin and Korean Odyssey... and tell yourself nearly every single ghost here is at least as scary as this one, maybe more. They do have a story that makes them less scary but you learn it way after being scared. I wouldn't recommand it to someone who doesn't like ghost horror stories. And this comes from someone who watched all three dramas mentioned above.

Honestly, for me it was around episode 20. Between 10 and 17, it was good to pass time but not "amazing". After that, I begun trully enjoying it for the schemes.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean, English is not my original language so sometimes I can come across wrongly. It's just that you wrote "in manner of characterization the original stands out more". I only wanted to say that this was a matter of opinion. You see, after my first comment, I went to check the original version to get why I felt the chemistry was better here. And I think it's because they are playing the same scenes with a softer side to it. I don't really know how to put the rest of my thoughts in English so I'll stop there. Anyway, that's only my opinion as well and sorry if I got you wrong.

I should stop reading theories. Sometimes, they seem so plausibles I fell like I'm reading spoilers about episodes not even released yet....

Well, I don't remember the original that much because I watched it long ago. I know I liked it a lot but I love this one as well. I think both leads are doing a great job at portraying their characters and have great chemistry.

That's because you watch mainly Kdramas. Kdramas here have a higher average than other countries, probably because the production does seem better. But still, I wouldn't consider 8.1 to be low. A lot of Kdramas have a 7 rating and very few have more than 8.8. That's why I said it's average.

8.1 isn't low, it's average, especially when there is no romance. I've watched plenty of other dramas with far lower ratings than that on MDL.
