I saw that too! Also, I think they also edited the color grading of the flashback scenes from CH? I remember when watching iQiyi's version, I couldn't tell it was a flashback at first because the coloring looked the same, but Netflix made the colors a little more faded as soon as those scenes appeared (I need to go back and compare). Maybe Netflix gave them more budget for additional effects.

Since Netflix is slowly releasing episodes per day, maybe they'll edit in the extras from 9/12 and 9/16 right into the actual drama by the time it finishes.

Not sure if Danyin will have anymore part in it later, but she was the one who revealed first that XLH was really the goddess which put some of the following motions into action. Now DFQC will work to revive her which then leads to her marrying CH.

- Sifu's lines about love is not fate. It's so true. Often romance makes it seem like fate is what makes two people come together and fall in love. It somehow devalues the significance of the romance because it's like they're "forced" to fall in love. Whereas this just makes it so much better because we can be forced to meet, but to fall in love or not is still our choice.

- XLH asking to get sun as she was dying. The way this scene was so much more tragic because it calls back to the first time DFQC took Orchid to get sun in Arbiter Hall.

- Him drawing her eyebrows in his dream. I know the Chinese significance is it's something done by a husband to a wife. But to me it calls back to the ugly makeup he put on her during the mortal arc versus how prettily he put make up on her here 😭😭😭
