If people don't buy them as a couple, they're not going to be invested in the story. For any idol romance drama, the sense of CP is what mainly determines if it becomes a hit or not unless one of the main characters is popular enough that people are following it for them specifically and honestly, as someone who has read this novel 2x already, I find PWX's character build much more interesting than LR's, and I know that ZLH will deliver to my expectations and to see the comments some of the FL's fans are making regarding him really rubs the wrong way.

Miscommunication only happened in the first life, hence why they have the second life to do things right. It's the whole point of this rebirth theme. During the second life it was mostly focused on the two leads' love line. It was still very much 1v1 and 2nd ML had very little affect on them. However, how they choose to portray this in the drama is yet to be determined but from what's shown so far it looks like they're sticking closely to the novel.

Yeah I've seen a lot of his pictures when he's commuting to get makeup done before filming and they're always pretty red to start with. He chews on his lips a lot too so that doesn't help them be less red. But the Chinese's aesthetics for their idol actors (even males) are fair skin and red lips so maybe the mua enhances them even more.
