No one else talks about them so I have to say I love XW’s little crew. They’re so cute and funny hanging around him.

Yeah he’s definitely got a lot of promise with his acting, especially since he’s only debut for a few years and without previous formal training like many other actors. He’s already got some of those facial muscles working, like that eye twitch under the umbrella 😄. He had some facial twitches he did in MJTY too that left an impression on me, and that was filmed after this. I haven’t really watched other BL dramas previously because her other ML’s weren’t my cup of tea, but I’m glad to have this drama and OFL this year to watch her.

That whole interaction with the uncle was so good. His eye acting made me tear up with him.

So good. Easier to follow than Story of Kunning Palace :)

I just bought the premiere membership today because of iqiyi's annual sale and holy niu niu, watching WHD and BL in 4K is like vitamins for my eyeballs. Anyway, idk if it's because I've already read the novel and know the outcome and what to expect, but I'm still highly enjoying watching everything gradually play out and not feeling so impatient as some others are.

She looks so pretty during the bedroom scene with her hair half up half down. I'm also glad they're being realistic with the head dress when sleeping and everything is removed, unlike some other dramas.
