I read a couple of different reasons and I'm not exactly sure which is fact because I wasn't following it at the time, but it's all politically related. One was that he and his friends filmed some kind of skit where an anti cut and edited to make it sound like he was being politically offensive. Another was that he supported the zero-covid protest in China. He ended up getting banned from activities and social media for 6 months. He's back to being active now, but I guess the producers decided it was safer to just exclude him in promotions.

I feel so bad for Zhou Junwei to have to be excluded from all the promotions and cast activities... all because he dared to have an opinion... I'm glad they were able to still keep all his scenes as filmed and he got to sing an OST. Every song in this drama is very nicely done. I was surprised to see that he also wrote the OST in addition to singing it. Love his voice.

In hindsight, this drama being delayed from May's broadcast was the best thing that could've happened to him since it allowed MJTY to air first. Now it can help erase people's image of his character assassination in that drama.

Nicely said. Nothing to add from me, but just wanted to point out that the translation was so off at the beginning of episode 17 when the guards came in to arrest YM and YL. ZZ pointed out that "Punishment can't be used on senior officials", which stopped Xue from trying to use restraints on them as well as them being tortured in prison.

What's funny is if I remember correctly, she was described to be on the same level of attractiveness as XN in the novel. I don't think this actress fits looks-wise.

There's a possibility they might hold off on the express package this time because they're still doing really well with advertisers. Every episode is getting consistent ads placement. Express might make them lose out on that, but we'll see.

I think the last time I found a cdrama male lead this attractive was Ye Hua from TMOPB. They give me the same vibes in the romance department. That inner turmoil, tortured soul but bubbling with possessiveness and passion.

I really wish they'd stop calling it "dementia" and just keep its literal translation of "soul splitting syndrome" since they can't use modern terms. It just makes me laugh.

I think it also helps that ZLH was actually really scary when he had his episode. I was scared for sure lol.

I'm sure iqiyi will post the english subs for international viewers as well. They did it for Love You Seven Times when they had their As You Wish show.
