I have a feeling that that 30K years ago forgotten past is going to be the thing that ties all these lifetimes together. It’s like one of those stories where things seem chaotic until that moment hit and it all makes so much sense lol.

I’m enjoying it! Tbh, I was feeling mid about LBFAD in its early episodes and it wasn’t until episode 9 that it hooked me. I feel like the same thing will happen here after we finish with this second lifetime they’re in. It’s still a little early to cement judgment on its actual value. The important thing for me is I still want to watch without getting bored.

Just a heads up, if you know iqiyi, you know how they do their releases. Get you hooked with the first 2 weeks of daily uploads, then you have to wait 3 days each week after for the new episodes... right when the plot hits the climax and things escalate 😆

That Immortal Lord(heavenly emperor) is definitely one of them. They always are. Plus that actor seems like he only plays bad guys 😄.

I definitely feel they were romantically involved 30K years ago and that prince probably had a hand in breaking them up and not remembering anything about each other because he was after the FL.

But based on the above written synopsis, it's the FL who was originally a cloud and ML was a "a disciple of the Uri Xingjun constellation". I haven't read the novel so it's no difference to me, but just wanted to point that out.

It's interesting that there are so many intertwining threads of relationships being set up in the first few episodes. It's going to be such a tangled mess that they have to untangle themselves out from and I'm so intrigued.

Did anyone catch the connection when Immortal Li suggested XY go reside over the Destiny Book instead if the Marriage Pavilion gets destroyed because they're short staffed there? (since XLH was the only one working there in LBFD 😂)

The physical comedy is trademark BJT. If you watch some of his comedic roles in his modern dramas, you’d die laughing 😄

Yah it wasn’t even that she cried, but the way she went about it was just oot and ooc. I kept wondering the whole time if she was faking it. She’s more tolerable for me in the more recent episodes, but I’m still not emotionally attached to her.

I agree, which is surprising since I found her likable in Joy of Life. BJT is the one carrying the couple for me. Production value is very great quality though and eps 9-10 seems promising.

Good to see it's actually 40 eps again. It has a touch of New Life Begins feel to it. The sets are beautiful and that wedding ceremony was wonderfully filmed. I also like that they've kept a lot of the natural background sound effects, as well as using the actors' real voices. They could lower the bgm though. It's a bit loud and distracting sometimes. Bai Jingting is definitely carrying this show at the moment as far as plot and characters go. However, my interest peaked when Liu Xueyi showed up. I completely forgot he was in this. I'm intrigued about his connection to Gu Jiusi. Also, iQIYI heat index passed 7,000 on premiere day.

Oh no, did they have to cut so much that it’s now 36 instead of 40 episodes? I hope it doesn’t disrupt story flow like it did some other dramas.

I agree, there's something off about the direction and editing of scenes. It's all so stilted and doesn't flow naturally. Like you can see that it's staged. Cinematography is beautiful and I love that there's no skin filter on the actors. Seven is great as always.

I died when they got to Xiao Bai and he was nodding along like he understood their logic but he really was so lost 😂. The actress surprised me with this character. Made me like her so much more now. I almost forgot she was in LBFaD too. So this makes it her third time working with WHD that I’ve seen.

I feel like he’s also a nod to all the reserved, introverted people in the office environments. The quiet ones who might go unnoticed because they don’t have much presence, but usually are the ones who are the most efficient and get the job done.
