It defeats the whole purpose of his sacrificial death if he were to reappear right back in the next scene. It would lose all rewatch value for me because the emotional impact of that scene would be gone.

It feels like such a downer in here. I need to say goodbye and move on to just live in my own appreciation bubble of this drama.

New fan here. I really enjoyed his acting in LYST. Looking forward to seeing him in leading roles in the future 💫

Yes, since they’ve established the idea earlier that by going through mortal trials, they regain their strength. Like how JL did when he was injured. So you can picture them living happily for multiple mortal lifetimes now until the day CK is fully healed and comes back to heaven to take on the throne, since XM is only temporarily holding his place.

Upon rewatch it sounds exactly like they cut it from when he said it after they came back from the past tribulation and stitched it into the trailer.

It was shown in ep 38, in flashes

I think the poor editing did a lot of injustice to this drama. The director was kind of meh too so that didn't help convey the script as it should've.

No, he got a really cute ending 🙂

Haha... Someone on weibo said that was XM reincarnated into his body 🤣

Ikr! 😭

I think he's got it through his brain now that he's been family-zoned 😂

XM became the new emperor as you said 😂 I love that Red Thread Master and Immortal Sun plotted to matchmake him. Wished they showed who he met in the mortal realm hehe

XY: Who are you this time?
CK: Regardless of now, or 30,000 years ago. I'm destined to find you.

I’m happy with how it ended. Proper closure for everyone and a HEA. But they cut out his reply to her that was heard in the trailer 😒 Anyway, at least DYX's face conveyed all that was needed to be said with his acting.

China fans are just as traumatized by these xianxia endings as we are 😭

Did you read the first comment? "Don't just meet and end, I'll really break down" and the reply under that is "The editor still has one hour left to make changes" 😂

Maybe they won’t let it slide so easily the fact that JLuo practically murdered her for her body and bring her back.

Thank you for for pinpointing when it was. I knew it was mentioned before and wasn’t just pulled out of nowhere but didn’t remember which part.

Yes, exactly 😄

You know usually if you expect the worst, the best will end up happening. So we should keep on expecting an unsatisfying ending 😁
