I have to say again Ryan Ding is really impressing me in this. He has a distinct facial expression for every emotion and one of those who act with their eyes. I like that he can do serious and goofy (Moonlight). We need a compilation of all his different “hmm” whenever he’s Chukong😂. I don’t remember him doing it while he was LCK.

If you noticed both XY and Yingshi died at the same time and it triggered the primordial spirit of the saintess. The demon lord assumed that it was Yingshi because he was focusing on her and didn’t notice XY also died at that moment. I think she’s the saintess.

The amnesia potion is only supposed to make him forget his original self before going down for his tribulation. Whatever experiences/memories he gains during that time will stay with him when he comes back. You can rest easy that he does remember everything.

I think binge watching the first 12 episodes together up until when they get back to the heavenly realm is definitely a good idea to help push you through the rough patch. The ending of episode 12 is the hooking point of this drama imo.

Glad to hear it conveyed what the novel wrote. I'll most likely read it after this drama finishes. I think the execution of this arc was what made it feel draggy, but it was definitely needed set up. I feel emotionally invested in their love line now. I'm also glad to know the rock and princess was thrown into the mix in order to move the overarching plot forward and not just token characters to satisfy 2nd CP quota.

It's symbolic of how their heart died inside even though they still go on living. At least that's how I've always interpreted this. In reality, stress does cause some people to grow more gray hairs and cdramas just amplify that notion 100x to a full head of white lol.

Yeah, I don't mind any extra screen time with him because of this 😂 and his acting isn't cringe.
