Yes gotta give Peter Ho credits too. He's definitely a great actor and I'm sure WHD got to learn loads while filming with him.

Even if the drama itself isn't memorable due to the cutting, we can at least appreciate the memorable experience of watching by using our super imagination powers and detective and video editing skills of fans 😂

Why did that sudden voiceover after YL had her nightmare gives me suspicion of this being a story told by someone in the end? 😒

Ah I loved this scene on an acting level though. You could see the emotions going off in XD's eyes as he tried to control himself.

The plot of when they were stranded after falling off the ship looked pretty cut up as well. Based on the new BTS from this week where WHD was cutting the bamboo, XD also built YL a bed in that abandoned hut they were stranded at. That's why we saw them sleep by sitting on the ground, but all of a sudden when his men showed up, they had a bamboo bed. I was also curious what the red ribbon the geese were biting on, which Cao Chun'an was holding onto that led him to their location, was about as well.

Would be nice if they could package all the cut scenes into an extra edition episode and let people pay in order to see it. Can that be a loophole around the censors? 😂

You can tell so much was cut from that boat scene at the end of ep 25. I expected it, but it still hurt my heart🥲 No kiss to show how his lips got bruised and the song suddenly got a chunk missing after they zoomed above the boat. Another emotionally powerful scene diminished due to cutting. Gotta wait for BTS crumbs now. This is the first time I'm watching a drama through BTS 😂

Exactly. It’s frustrating to see what could’ve been great reduced to just good. I still rate it above average.

Directors will have to learn to be even more creative with how they film romantic scenes from now on. Maybe also film two versions so they're prepared if anything isn't acceptable, they'll have a back up to still make a good drama.

They were angry during ep 20 when they realized they weren't getting their bath scene, but they're just accepting it for what it is now. Nothing else can be done since what's cut is already cut. Good thing the leads are still able to convey the emotions even with the missing scenes, so we just go on watching with expectations that nothing will be shown anymore. Maybe we'll be surprised somehow. Just be prepared that tomorrow's scene might look ridiculous again if one moment XD's lip is fine and the next there's a bloody cut on it (seems like he might have forced a kiss on her and she bit him. The drama's alternative to what happened in the novel).

Totally don't blame it on him at all, I blame the stiflingly restrictive system. Just happy they even got this drama to air.

I don't understand what was the standards for what to cut was either. I feel like they were in a rush to get it greenlit to air so they just went ahead and over-cut things. Like, there was no reason to cut the extended post-wedding kiss. We still saw them kiss in a faraway shot anyway.
