I loved that all the scenes we saw in the previews made me believe it was related to the emperor (where she was living and her being carried around) turned out to actually be XD. I got worried that she was starting to accept some of his advances.
Tomorrow's episodes previews look so good! I'm really loving Yinlou's personality and progression more and more with each new episode. Loved how she dealt with beauty Li. Such a satisfying slap lol. She got her hits in while still managed to be kind by letting her return home, as it was the only way she was capable of doing something for those dead nameless concubines. Why did I find her so adorable when she said "I'll cry when I'm scared!" 😂 I think Xiao Duo did, too. The way she handled Fu Wang's attempts at wooing her during the meal scene👍 And at the gravesite, Xiao Duo only handed her her card without saying a word and she knew right away how to play the situation. You can see that they are a good match mentally.
I love the two leads' chemistry. I was apprehensive at first about Yukee's acting because I never watched her before and just kept seeing criticisms of her. I'm happy that I'm really liking how she's portraying her character. I do notice the wide-eye thing, but honestly, I think that's just a physical thing that I don't think she could help as her eyes seem to be naturally wide and kind of bulging. She's still beautiful, regardless.
I wished it stayed consistently dark. The injection of comedic scenes isn't done that well so it's kind of jarring at times. Still love the two leads so they'll probably be my reason for carrying on.
the scenes between xiao duo and bu yinlou in episode 8 was such a big serotonin boost. too bad it didnt last long…
I've loved all their sweet scenes ever since the tree scene. I'm glad they're giving it to us early because the palace plot is kind of a drag. And also, I don't get it when I see someone say there's no chemistry. Xiao Duo lightly caressing her face as she was sleeping in his lap was so cute.

Both of these make sense on. This is the problem with them deleting scenes. It becomes choppy and harder to make sense of. There was much more to that scene like her listening to his heartbeat and fanning him to cool down because he was getting overheated.

I remember back when the rumored airing date was in November, it never happened because apparently it couldn't pass censors and had to be reviewed again. Maybe these cuts were needed for some reason.
The Chinese iqiyi app has a new feature where these bts clips are being inserted into the episode itself. Whenever the scene where these cuts were made are shown, there's a dot on the progress bar where you can click on it to take you to the bts and then take you right back to the scene afterwards. I wish they made this available on the international app as well.
