You make sense about the rushed editing job though. This was considered an A category drama which is less invested than the S or S+ so they probably didn't pay much care to it (especially with how badly received MTD was) until WHD unexpectedly blew up this summer and all the fans demanded this release.

The filming for this began in June of 2021 actually. WHD jumped into this right after LBFD wrapped.

Yeah, when she compared him to the poisonous root, that's when she moved him. Then when she kept banging into the tree just to make the blossoms fall for him, I think that's when he fell. Metaphorically, the tree represented his heart. She was knocking on his heart. I think all the physical scenes they cut were superficial at this stage anyway. You have to pay attention to their conversations. Hopefully, they don't cut too many of the later kissing scenes, because that's when it really matters lol.

I think she stirred his heart at the tea garden and shaking the pear tree scene.

I hope he'll wear it again later. I can't wait for new outfits to show up. Hoping there's more. The fan photos from his new modern drama looks like it's going to be another fashion show, but of suits lol.

The end is a compilation of WDH fighting. I liked the direction of actions during the football match so I'm expecting a nice long choreography of XD fighting later on.

I loved that all the scenes we saw in the previews made me believe it was related to the emperor (where she was living and her being carried around) turned out to actually be XD. I got worried that she was starting to accept some of his advances.

Tomorrow's episodes previews look so good! I'm really loving Yinlou's personality and progression more and more with each new episode. Loved how she dealt with beauty Li. Such a satisfying slap lol. She got her hits in while still managed to be kind by letting her return home, as it was the only way she was capable of doing something for those dead nameless concubines. Why did I find her so adorable when she said "I'll cry when I'm scared!" 😂 I think Xiao Duo did, too. The way she handled Fu Wang's attempts at wooing her during the meal scene👍 And at the gravesite, Xiao Duo only handed her her card without saying a word and she knew right away how to play the situation. You can see that they are a good match mentally.

I love the two leads' chemistry. I was apprehensive at first about Yukee's acting because I never watched her before and just kept seeing criticisms of her. I'm happy that I'm really liking how she's portraying her character. I do notice the wide-eye thing, but honestly, I think that's just a physical thing that I don't think she could help as her eyes seem to be naturally wide and kind of bulging. She's still beautiful, regardless.

I wished it stayed consistently dark. The injection of comedic scenes isn't done that well so it's kind of jarring at times. Still love the two leads so they'll probably be my reason for carrying on.
