True - you're right. I forgot sorry, I'll edit that to make it clearer. Although, that honestly felt more like an "I'm sorry for not being able to like you" rather than an "I'm sorry for raping you."
(I say rape because Tarn was clearly very drunk and basically had to be carried out of the bar. Just because she was able to ask to have sex, and acknowledged her feelings might be different, doesn't mean Naow should have ignored her drunkenness! From the fact that she was singing at the bar, it seems she was pretty sober, or at least sober enough to take Tarn home! Naow holding back would have made it easier to side with her and probably would solve the issue quicker too, although the writers then would have to fill that time with other things to lengthen the show.)
And I absolutely agree on Gyo not being perfect! I was wondering if another person was linked (Naow's brother) to her issues especially because of how they looked and greeted each other in a prior episode. It wouldn't surprise me if so.
However, I think she's justified for saying they can't be gfs. People might suspect, but unless they go official there are only rumours of closeness. Rumours won't affect Gyo, Naow, their year groups and their major as much as confirmed news of the head hazer dating a junior. The power dynamics arguably are problematic, and while Naow as the junior is deliberately forward to reduce issues with said senior/junior dynamic, said dynamic as well as the favouritism and sleepovers and closeness could be used later by someone to hurt them. I agree that Gyo's shown evident favouritism, and I'd have said they're better off staying away from each other until hazing ends, rather than going all in before Gyo had confessed.
But I'll continue to watch to see what comes in the following episodes - I am here for both sapphic and STEM rep so I can't be too picky! Hopefully there are some repercussions because it's better if she sleeps with Luktarn when she's sober. Rape is awful, and the addition of it here by the writers is frustrating, ESPECIALLY when this is one of our early GLs in the wave. (Apologies if any sentences are unclear - it's late for me now so do let me know if you want clarification!)
Naow and Gyo were so cute, but it's becoming clearer that Naow knows full well what she did was very wrong and is feeling immense guilt. With her guilt comes paranoia and shiftiness which felt very evident this episode, and I can't like Naow when she's aware of how wrong she was and has yet to apologise explicitly for raping Tarn.
The friendship here is the best though, and I appreciate Gyo's group! Gyo is such a queen and she remains my favourite green flag: the sleepy and emotional girlie!

That's exactly what I'm trying to work out right now by looking through reviews and comments. I'm thinking I'll drop, and then whenever my guilt gets too much I might try picking it up again, because I feel like there's not much left to the story. I liked it - I appreciated the racing focus as well as the slow burn of the couples. I don't want to let this drama go, but the actors have all charmed me with their performances, especially the leads! 9 out of 10, but it's honestly a 10/10 in my heart!
I hope it gets better but the Luktarn situation means I unfortunately can't enjoy Naow and Gyo like before. I hope someone finds out and knocks some sense into Naow because from the preview I doubt she'll apologise on her own.
Also, maybe because I watched LT before this where I was loving the background and "performed" music, but the sound editing here was especially jarring. They could've better blended the instrumentals so there wasn't any random silence. Most of the conversations had music played over, which I tried to justify as deliberate but when they let us hear speech from Ploy for a line (which wasn't subbed) it was immediately played over again.
But damn, Pure is such a selfless brother. He denied liking Gyo for Ploy, and I feel like she knew from that look she gave him.
