I am gonna miss that "My right hand..., my left hand..." ending song. The lyrics and the voice ...Sublimissim!
The actress, who plays the immortal JiJi, the one who is in charge of the fate of mortals, is the singer of this ending song. She is also the music director (sort of) of this drama.
what?! is his uncle the real father? spoil me plz. haha
Remember in ep25, after the crazy princess was tiggered by Fuyao’s question about her husband, she shouted: He doesn’t like me. He likes her. he always likes her. They have a kid.... The kid is Wuji. I think Wuji is aware of it now. He forced the info out of his aunt and made his guess already. That’s why he was so cold to Prince De. I also have the feeling the emperor knows it too...It is just one layer of thin cloth over this scandal. They all knew or guessed but have no willing or courage to expose it.

You are welcome. :-) Well, I think in every language there are cases like this, subtle meaning which can not be fully grasped.
Yes, doubling the name (e.g. Xiao Qi calling the scorpion princess ZhuZhu) or adding Er at the end of the given name (e.g. PM and the younger brother of the doc calling Qi Yun Yun'er) or adding Ah at the beginning of the given name (e.g. the maid who killed Pei Yuan is called Ah Lie) are the three most common ways for the nickname between family members, close friends or lovers. Ya Tou is very special. It is a general endearing calling for a girl, which actually has some teasing attitude in it. Very sweet every time when WJ called his Ya Tou.
Anyone knows what Wuji means exactly by calling Fuyao "Yada" ?
Normally a senior or elderly calls his/her female junior/kids Ya Tou if they are close. If a man calls a unrelated women of the same generation or status Ya Tou, it has a very intimate feeling, pointing to a hint of love interest like here. So never ever call a female stranger Ya Tou, she will either feel offended or even worse harrassed. Of course if you have Ethan’s charisma, that will be another story. ;-D
Was just having this conversation with a friend the other day. His appearance in the beginning was my favorite.…
@U2kawaii, you are right. Thanks for the enlightment. Yes, the Taiyuan outfit gave a mighty, all-in-controll confident image which do fit his roll there. However in his home empire, he is no longer the dominant one. He has to submit to his father and make compromises with all parties. So the loose outfit make him look more serious and even a bit vulnerable. The wardrobe department is indeed well thought.
That drunk talk between them was so goodAnd I love Wuji's confession to his dad too.
Yes, this drama is getting better and better. Hope it go on with this good pace and quality and most importantly with a good ending please! No matter a happy one or sad one, i just want a proper and satisfying closure.
That drunk talk between them was so goodAnd I love Wuji's confession to his dad too.
Agree! Personally i think the drunk talk scene is the best acting from Yang Mi and Ethan in this drama so far. Emotionally soaked in and so beautifully done. I was in tears.
Who else likes wuji in his bun more than his hair down? I mean he looks good either way but i miss his bun so…
And his outfit in Taiyuan, which shows his build, looks also better for me. The loose one in Tianquan is not bad, more scholarly, but somehow i still like the tighter one on him. ;-P looking forward to his possible new looks in other kingdoms.
How did u know that WJ is not a virgin plz explain
At the beginning of ep35, one request from the doc reveals WJ is still a virgin. very sutle but kind of funny. sorry, better not to spoil too much of your fun later.
Anybody watched ep35 already? I was LOL at the fact that the flirty WJ is actually a virgin. hahahahaha. And the second thought, so the doc is not? :-D PS: Xiao Qi is looking suspicious here again.
I guess if you take into consideration he was semi injured from the 3 slaps by the crazy princess a few days ago…
@vivian yes, i did get it after ep 31. I am curious about the doc’s reaction though. Did he know wuji’s intention? Afterall it is his kingdom and now his brother will be the king.
I was shocked when saw the rating in Douban for Fuyao, only 4.8 of 10? so much different from the rating on various…
Another reason: too much manipulation in Douban now. A lot of paid anti-fans are from the competitors of the actors/actresses/production team. Wait for a few months after the airing. Most of these dramas will get higher ratings after this period because those paid people are no longer interested in this, They are busy working on the next airing drama since the rating during the airing is considered as the ref data for investors. As for the tendency of foreign dramas getting higher rating, there is no direct conflict or competition for market sharing or funding, nobody bothers to spend money on the manipulation games. Hence more real ratings from audience. Same applied to most cdramas starring unknown/unpopular actresses/actors.
It is the problem of the actress, i think. She is not a bad looking actress but the problem is with her acting…
It’s good that you don’t have problems with her acting. Some actors/actresses can make a ridiculous story look convincing. Maybe that’s what i was expecting from her, because i also feel the love trio thing for the doc bros is kind of redundant here and i kept wondering, really? is this girl so attractive for you two?
I can't be the only one that dislikes the Elder Statesman's daughter ugh. I really would like to get rid of her…
It is the problem of the actress, i think. She is not a bad looking actress but the problem is with her acting skills. She did basically nothing but crying and that crying even did not make me feel.

And wasn’t Wuji told, to settle the chaos in this kingdom without bloodsheding? Now the whole court was killed... I was really like wth... Then after the Emperor talking with Wuji scene, I got it. The emperor actually wanted to weaken this kingdom without bloodsheding of their own people. Sigh... politics... so sorry for the people killed in this battle. And poor Yun Hen. He is now a king with an empty court, half-killed army and a worst queen. Yes, after the power play, Gao Puruo, the annoying sword dancing girl will be the queen of the new king. I bet the doc ran away from the throne because of this. lol
