I do love the steady development of Yao and Fuyi's story, though. People seem to forget them because of Miaomiao and Ziqi, but ever since Miaomiao's interference, I see them bloom as two people that aren't dictated by what the book tells them to do. I'm sure Yao, this time around, wouldn't be seduced by the Resentful Woman now that she's slowly getting the trust that she deserved from the OG story. She slowly accepts the idea that demons are not all that bad, so Ziqi's secret won't be taken as betrayal. I'm sure she's starting to suspect it, anyway.
Oh! And the reappearance of the dust demons made me coo. :( I fear that with Miaomiao getting the bracelet, we might see the score decrease. I fully blame that gremlin statue for it.
I like the Marquis, I do. I know he just likes her too much, but my god. Please, I need Ziqi to get rid of him soon. Or, at least, get rid of that bracelet. I can't have an emo Ziqi with a bewitched Miaomiao. π

The way he secretly smiles when Yao tells him to stay with Miaomiao to act as her protector. He's so easy to read but he doesn't even realize Yao and Fuyi are in the background bringing him closer to her.
The dust demons coming out to see the kiss is so me, except I actually screamed when everything was just.... that. LMFAO. Ziqi fighting his inner demon to stay nonchalant with everything that happened + Miaomiao lying next to him was so cute, though. π And we're supposed to believe he's stuck at 55%? He's so smitten!
On the other hand, I can finally see the conflict between Fuyi and Yao. I feel like this Crescent weapon would end up becoming a roadblock to their relationship.

As some had pointed out, what if she was misunderstood in all of this? So far, most of the demons we met were good people that turned out bad due to the consequences and stigma of humans. Mu Yao's father doesn't even look like the type of guy who's intentions are pure, with how short his cameo was. The uncle who punished Mu Sheng, too.
Now, we also saw that Mu Sheng seems to be so enthralled by the Goddess Mei. Goddess Mei has that same ethereal look that the woman in Mu Sheng's memory has. Could it be that, somehow, one of the Mu demon catcher got involved with Goddess Mei and turned her into a Demon Queen? That explains why Mu Sheng had that much power to begin with? What if Goddess Mei fell in love with a demon, Mu Yao's dad killed him off, then, while in hiding to protect Mu Sheng, he gets kidnapped by the Mu family and had his memory erased? Why she had to exact a revenge on the entire family.
I could be reaching. But somehow, it makes sense in my head.
