Aside from Fuyi and Yao that seems like cookie cutter characters from the novel, there is depth within the other background characters which I find not surprising at all. They don't follow any plot so they're free to do what they want outside of the story. I think you'd end up connecting with them more. (Although Yao seems to have a certain glow with her when around Lin Yu.)

How can Miaomiao say no to Cuicui when he begged her to join them (EP 9)? Look at him! He's a baby. I would find a way to hide him from Yao even if it might kill me. 😭

I'm so in love with the CGI. I can't stop praising it. It really feels like watching a cut scene on a big budget game!

Miaomiao, staring at Ziqi: If this was put on TV, it'd be trending on Douyin right now.

There's this certain scene on episode 4 that actually got me scared like Lin Yu. The part where Zi Qi was staring at Yao and FY winning the competition. You know he actually has bad intentions in there.

Also, I love how Yao is the one stealing LY from FY. She's prioritizing their sisterhood now over the man that's supposed to be her love interest. And I love that! She deserves that love line since the OG plot did her so fucking dirty. I need them to stay friends forever!

Just found out that this one is already out and 15 minutes in, I'm already in love with the visual and the effects! Literally the best one I've seen (besides ALP). Whoever decided to cast Chen Duling as the Mirror Demon, I love you. She's so pretty. I took too many screenshots of her.

PS. The fact that there was a fake end credit within 10 minutes of the drama made me laugh out loud. That was so unexpected. 😂

Getting another LR Monday cure thanks to the Blu-Ray announcement. I'm so happy. Seeing them both sitting next to each other again makes me so happy.

I miss them again. And congrats to the both of BWS and KHY and the LR team for getting another huge nomination! Of all k-dramas in 2024, they really are the ‘face’ or representative of Korea this (international or asian) awarding season. Surely, this one isn't going to be the last huge nomination they will get either.

Mind you, the show was 9.2 when it was on-going. It only received a deduction the second the hate comments started flowing in due to its 'undeserved' rating. If it's fixed on the 9.1, it only means that the majority who watched the show and continuously watch the show up to this day, is still giving it a high rating.

Early predictions for voting season is up. Sudden Shower is set to win OST of the Year @ MAMA and Melon Music Awards. I hope any of the LR casts attend the show (as hosts or emcee) because, being a K-pop fan, I know that they usually give the award to those that attend the ceremony.

We also know for a fact that Wooseok tends to get what he wishes for, so him attending MAMA awards last year could be a foreshadowing.

That's the reason why the popularity, the nominations and the awards that LR team is getting is well deserved. They did what they had to do, but still gave us more.

Can I just say that the first time I heard the voice on the intro, I bursted out laughing because it came out of the blue? I don't want to be disrespectful, though! I know she's reading a poem. By the third time I heard it, I actually liked it.

I was on a drama slump but ended up watching TYP since the current K-Dramas left me searching for the spark that I felt for Lovely Runner, so I thought a certain genre change would help me get out of it.

Now, currently at episode 11 and I continue to love the duo of the Empress and Yingluo. They're such a perfect pair that you can't question just how in sync they are. You could literally see how the Empress and Emperor were slowly realizing just how fast she is on her feet and how she's cunning to get things done without looking like a fool in public. They all understood her motives, and that makes her a huge asset to the palace. Fuheng was cute (and I also initially wanted to watch it for Soso) but the second Yingluo met the Emperor, I knew they'll end up together. I don't mind that at all. I also like the soldier that got pushed around, the one who was accused of selling gold by Consort Xian's maid (I saw a spoiler about him, smh. I still like him though). I love Zhang Momo.

Other than that, for a first impression, I like how everything is set up. I love the conflict and the politics. The visual is amazing and not once have I gotten bored.

And just like Wooseok, who is once again watching the drama on his trip to Sydney, Subeoms will keep rewatching Lovely Runner with him. He really said there's no moving on for all of us.
