The effects of the hall turning into the forest was actually pretty good. I think I've seen that effect before but can't recall where it was from. Very cool transition.

Oh, I was dreading to watch episode 20 but it was better than I expected. Easily one of my favorite episodes now. Everyone is back together and both the Princess and Marquis is working with them! I'm excited about what's gonna happen to the Crescent next.

Tell me why my tears started to fall when Ruoshi told Miaomiao about how he'll always give her what she wants. This is a guy who experienced love for the first time, but despite that, he's willing to give up on her when any person who had that power of the bracelet would use that with their selfish means. I'm really glad that he and Ziqi are actually half brothers. I'm sure that they'd end up bonding real soon.

Decided to rewatch episode one and something about the Mirror Demon's explanation as to why she kills grooms is because they were tempted by her. She also said that her master was “deluded. Someone who loved a guy that was married to another woman.” Who wants to assume that the mirror demon was talking about was Ziqi's mom?

I didn't fully realize it myself but it's funny how Miaomiao unconsciously got Ziqi out of his siscon phase. Like, he helped set the mood for Yao and Fuyi and he didn't care. They were kissing on the swing but he didn't care. Instead, he was looking at Miaomiao being all giggly about it. He's fr a goner now. 😭

This has been on my watch list the second I saw the trailer and figured out where it was adapted from. With Esther, Yuxi and Xudan on the cast, I knew this one would be good. And I was right!
