Finally finished it! Held itself up until the last minute and we finally got the answer as to why he worked at the hospital in the first place. I knew it wasn't simply because the Minister asked him to come, but the story about his dad and who was involved in it tied up the story so well that it was impactful (to me). Very excited for the second season! Hopefully the OG team stays + excited that we're getting a Number Two in the group.

I was planning to watch a medical drama for some reason. So, as a huge fan of Dr. Romantic, I was debating whether to rewatch it or not. Then, I found out that this drama exist with THE Ju Jihoon as the lead so I was more than happy to start it. And, my! I love it so much! I'm on my way to watch the 6th episode and it's truly sating my need for this kind of genre. Medical dramas have a way to keep me watching when they have their own politics alongside with the right amount of comedy and amazing characters. I can't wait to finish this!

They're referring to the parent story of Moonlight Mystique. Bai Shuo and Fan Yue in their God forms are both in Ancient Love Poetry. They just changed the name due to copyright.

Really! I'm not sure how but ALP has become my standard in terms of cinematography and aesthetic in xianxias. It didn't look out of place and you can actually imagine the Four True Gods as leaders of the realm just by the clothes they wear in the God Realm. Same thing with other realms. Plus, the CGI and choreography was flawless. The other two feels awkward it's hard not to notice. I just wished they kept the trilogy in the same universe/broadcast.

Missing ALP right now, and even more so because Moonlight Mystique is finally airing. I'll rewatch this show again whenever possible!

Haven't fully checked this out yet but just wanna ask, is there any sort of callback to Ancient Love Poetry in the episodes so far? The reason why I dropped Last Immortal was because of the lack of callbacks to the main storyline, and I really loved the main story storyline. Thank you in advance for the help!

Wait, Lovely Runner is coming to our local channel this year. It's gonna be dubbed, though. 😭 I will never get out of this restaurant at this point.

I honestly do not understand the amount of vitriol one could have on a drama that aired months ago that they'd have a crash out every few days on this comment section— specially if it's something they did not like. Most people would just ignore the whole page of the drama itself because there's nothing to be said about it if it didn't fit their taste, but to go and leave spams of hate comments— some that are not even directed to the show, but to the reviewers— is very odd to me. Been to numerous C-drama MDL pages that were slammed by reviews (and trolls), but LR's page seems to attract the most hate I've seen so far. It's really weird out here.

I think the reason some are disappointed at the final episode is because they didn't realize that the Frontman was playing with all of them. Considering that the game ended and the raid happened after, it was a false ending. Them collecting ammos and going up the stairs was just a pause. It was planned out. That raid IS part of the game. Gihun being caught and Jungbae dying means that THAT game is over (as what Inho said) and that they're going to the next round. Hence, the cliffhanger. (Case in point: the start of Hyunju team race ended in a cliffhanger, the start of Mingle also ended in a cliffhanger.)

Based from what little we know of him: he's more of his sisters' brother. He was only in the Marines because his dad wanted him to be. When asked further about his dad, he deflected and moved away from the group. Then, during the final episode, we saw how much he flinched when Hyunju came to him. It's like he expected to be hit for abandoning them during the fight. I assume this means that he was only in the Marines half heartedly because his dad beat him into it. He never cared for guns so he wasn't able to follow along Hyunju's instructions. His father probably liked firing guns so, when he started hearing them, the trauma hit. (Who knows? His father probably killed his family, too. We just don't know it yet. He got into the games for some reason, after all.)

Which reminds me, he could very much have a Jiyeong backstory. Someone who freshly got out of prison that got invited into the game.

I actually find that one extra funny, too. They say we have multiple accounts but the recent user that's on the comments right now flaming the positive comments have two accounts with the same name. Fork found in the kitchen as per usual.

Beats me. It's become a common thing here in LR's MDL section. We've seen their horde since the show had started gaining traction. Best ignore them. They crave that much attention to keep coming here to start a fight.

Which leads me to this certain point: Ryu Sunjae would love anything, even if it kills him.

This is a guy who became a swimmer because that is what his parents wanted him to be. He pushed himself so hard to the point he was no longer able to. Then, he met a girl that made him like the rain. She was the only other thing that occupied his mind so it's no wonder he held onto that love for 15 years. He loved her in grief, because he believed that he was the cause of her misfortune. So, it's also no surprise that he'd die for her over and over again. She's the sun to his skies, and that kind of love shouldn't be questioned by anyone.

So, on episode 2, it's said that Basic Instincts was overdue for a month (the deadline is within 24-hour mark or 3-days) meaning Sunjae has been crushing and following Sol for an entire month without her knowledge. He probably thought it was a miracle when she started noticing him back, that's why during the rain scene at school, he was surprised when she told him that she reminded him of ‘someone I like’.

Also, instead of being weirded out by her like what usual people would do, instead of letting her go when she ran away, he told her to wait for him and not go. Like he didn't want her to leave so they could continue talking. 🤭 (A very Byeon Wooseok thing to do.)

I kinda understood why he backed out last episode. As we know, he was forced by his dad to be a marine, too. I think he's more into taking care of his sisters than dealing with war.

Honestly, I prefer this season over the previous one. I love how character driven this is and how it's really different this time. The whole time, I was panicking because I liked almost all of the characters (not including the ones in the ‘O’ team, frig them all). I think I love the daughter and son most. Then, there's Hyunju and Youngmi. And Jungbae! The loan shark boss, too.

I'm really scared for most of them. I don't think I can wait any longer for the last season.
