Did anyone else get a Prison Break feel from the first few minutes? :3 This drama so far is great. Check it out…
@sunah The first episode was so intense! It took a lot out of me, actually lol~ dunno if I can handle it.. I'll definitely have to pace myself if I want to keep watching.

Han Ji Hoon~! His tears always get to me. The same goes for Joon Yeong but I feel it even more with Ji Hoon for some reason.

Episode10 felt like it ended too soon! I really wish I'd started this series later, so I could marathon it. I'm so looking forward to the final episodes next week~

#5 is not a favourite but I do find it pretty cute, especially in the two examples you listed because (this is why I put this under a spoiler tag!) the female leads in each drama actually revert back to their former appearance at the very end! And each woman was still extremely happy with her respective love interest so it took away the emphasis on appearance, and the affections of the male leads felt all the more genuine. It changes the makeover into something meant for her; it helped the character have an inner transformation and recognize her own self-worth, and then she realizes she can be happy and confident with or without the weight loss, or the hair straightening and makeup. Without that kind of aspect, the entire love story can seem very shallow.

I don't mind #2 (rich man or woman) and #3 is cute in moderation, but I probably like #1 the best! Well, only if the guy (or gal) is actually a decent human being underneath it all haha~ It can be really adorable to watch a character with a tough or cold exterior who hides an inner softy, and/or slowly warms up and turns to mush with that one special person. Alternately, if it's just a main lead being abusive to his/her love interest and then never sincerely making up for it in any way, that's a huge turn-off. S/he needs to grovel a bit first haha~ XD

I'm really looking forward to a few of the dramas!! I really hope Kimi wa Petto will be as good as the first…
Haha yeah, it's confusing!
Yep, that's the right one! XD

I'm really looking forward to a few of the dramas!! I really hope Kimi wa Petto will be as good as the first drama adaptation~ It could potentially have a better ending, since the 2003 version aired when the manga was still ongoing...

Even more, I'm super excited for most of the films! Especially FMA, Ajin, Tokyo Ghoul, and Jojo~!! (Please let them be better than the Shingeki no Kyojin movies...!)

Btw, the manga cover you have for Jojo is from a volume in the 3rd part of the series but it's the 4th part which is being adapted... each part has a different Jojo, so the Jojo on that particular cover is not the one Yamazaki Kento will be playing in the film. Not sure it matters but I just thought I'd mention it! ;D

Okay, so the past few episodes taught me that I kinda sorta love Lee Hee Joon. Is it just me, or is he handsome…
The trailer looks really good and you make it sounds even better! Thanks, I'll give it a watch~ :)

Okay, so the past few episodes taught me that I kinda sorta love Lee Hee Joon. Is it just me, or is he handsome in that period costume?? There's something about his atmosphere and the character in his face that really appeals to me. Weird, because I didn't think so at the beginning of this drama! He definitely grew on me. (And it doesn't hurt that his character Jo Nam Doo turned out to be a good guy lol!) Now I'd love to see him act in something else~

Not a complaint, but it kills me to see Love Shuffle listed as a "classic". Not because I didn't…
Yesss, this! I'm most surprised not to see Long Vacation on the list. That's arguably THE classic Jdrama romance~

The writer and director are one and the same, so it makes perfect sense that it felt self-indulgent lol! Kudo Kankuro is known for his eccentric and comedic writing, which can be hit or miss for some. Personally, he's written some of my favourite dramas and films, including Tiger & Dragon (which also stars Nagase Tomoya~) and Ping Pong, but I know they (and his style) are an acquired taste. Sorry to hear that this particular one is a miss for you! I may still give it a watch but I'll keep my expectations low...

I also love role reversals!! My favourite scenario is the last one, with the female initiating~♡ I do love to see the male lead displaying confidence too but it's such a welcome change to see a female going for what she wants. Often the two can go hand in hand, which creates a fun back and forth between the lead characters (as with Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo)! Also, it can be spun from different angles because it doesn't only have to be a strong, self-assured woman who's initiating a kiss; sometimes the shy, unsure ones can throw caution to the wind and act on impulse too! (Both IRL and in dramaland. ;D) I can relate to the more shy type so I love being able to root for a female lead to just let go of her insecurities and take the risk to go for what (and who) she wants. :)

Wow, episode 8... that ending!!

I'm impressed by Jang Dong Yoon; he's actually a really good actor! Before now, I thought he was a but stiff but I think that was due to the fact that his character Ji Hoon has been hiding so many things and has his walls up most of the time... I really felt it when his veneer cracked and his true emotions came through, especially in that last scene. I'm gonna drive myself crazy coming up with theories but every episode has me dying to know more!! I'm so glad I picked up this series~

Beautiful film! I loved the visuals and effects.

Does anyone know the song that plays during the ending credits? The melody sounds familiar to me so I feel like it's a cover but, if it is, I can't quite recall the song. Whatever it is, it's a great chillout track~

How heavy is this on the melodrama? I'm kind of intrigued by the premise and the high rating but the melodrama…
Thanks! I think I'll give it a try~ :)

Has it been 10 years already?! I remember when this was still new haha~ Definitely a favourite for me, and a drama standard for lovers of romantic comedy!

How heavy is this on the melodrama? I'm kind of intrigued by the premise and the high rating but the melodrama tag makes me hesitant.... plus the heroine looks pretty helpless and downtrodden in the trailer.

Where I can find it? On viki there are just half episodes subbed :(
I second this! I haven't been able to find it either. I thought it would turn up subbed by now but maybe it's been overlooked in favour of newer shows (since this aired back in 2009)...

Super fun!! I loved the pop culture references and nods to other films like Premium Rush, Kill Bill, and Kung Fu Hustle~ The acting was great and it was nice to see that David Belle and Song Ji Hyo played significant roles. Plus the dubbing for Song Ji Hyo was really well done (and sometimes dubbing is terrible!). Great watch~
